Well that's the death of the 3v system sadly to say...
I have tried my final test today using 5300mah 3v batteries and I can't get them over 5hours, so... As the 9v batts I posted in the shopping link last longer its fair to say they are the best bet.
I still hope someone can prove me wrong but it's clear now it doesn't matter what Mah the battery has, if your running a EL 12v sheet it WILL suck all the juice from the battery.
And plugged in the 9v battery and connecting the wires to the pannel and nothing lights up.
That's because that sheet is too large for the 9v inverter to light up. You need to cut the shapes out you need and then it will work on them.
her tell her you will not pay more than $230 and she should(as she did me) sell them for that price![]()
Thanks for your comments Robert and Nick, ye its a shame after all these months of trying pretty much every method of setting up a 3v system and spending nearly £80 on all types of batteries that i couldn't get over the 5 hour mark but the positive side of things the setup with all the EL panels and leds it will run on 3v after being told numerous times it wouldn't work, so funny to say i am still kinda happy about it all and for peace of mind we know we were right to stick to the 9v setup.
PS - if anyone is ordering a pair of mags and has trouble with customs in there country tell the seller to write on the box in big letters "HAPPY BIRTHDAY 'NAME' HERE IS YOUR FREE GIFT" my second pair took 1 day to clear U.K customs after telling Karin Chen to write that on the box, oh also if you are ordering a pair from her tell her you will not pay more than $230 and she should(as she did me) sell them for that price![]()
And Taff, on the two connectors that I ordered, the parts that you plug in to charge, do you just cut the other end off? It doesn't seem like it has any use.
Also has anyone else done or is planning on painting more splatter on the midsoles?
