Welcome to the RPF! The best way for you to have the most solid knowledge on building this Mag project and acquire "everything from the beginning" is to first take the time to read through this entire thread. There is a wealth of fundamental information here that is key to understanding what is best for your own style of building. There is no "one perfect" way as each prop builder has their own unique style and methods for achieving similar results.

I know you might be discouraged with my recommendation on reading through the entire thread, but I read through it within a few days. (Trust me, you can get through it very quickly because it is so interesting.) It helps refine your questions so that you are not asking redundant topics that have already been covered multiple times. Everything you asked for is actually in this thread (the Aliexpress links), the diagram for the EL and LED's, the complete shopping list is even in the title of this thread, etc etc.)

Once you have a solid foundation in knowledge, any of us will be happy to assist you with the more low level advanced questions.

It seems that so many new members just don't want to read or use search buttons these days.
They come in, request everyone else to do the footwork of searching for all the links and then expect it to just be given to them on a silver platter.
I just cannot wrap my head around this new trend of new members "expecting" people to just give.
The RPF is a plethora of knowledge that so many generous people have shared... Sometimes you have to search to find it, but it is the least you can do to access such knowledge when you are new.

yah but if you really want to know wow to do this you kinda have to read entire thread
speeking of skill i used a thick piece of glass when i glued my first strap today to make shure the nike didn't move lol

Hello,

I would like to buy an EL PANEL at elwireseller ( from eBay ), and i would like an unlaminated sheets wich the black side is peelable or removable and many other positive and negative points which can be used as they have no protective layer on the back. And not an EL PANEL with black area at the back and terminals like i have.

He told me that :

If the panel is cut by sharp tools, or forced to separate, it will not be delaminated.

The whole panel is cuttable. It is designed for cutting actually. Just cut out the edges if you don't need it. But keep one set of pins for power supply. Even you can take out all the pins and re-solder the pins if you know how.

I think I have found a very secure way of attaching the wire tape to the EL panel without using solder or wire glue.

First cut small slits in the EL panel where the wire tape will slide through:

Next, cut the wire tape to fit into the slots and feed it through. Make sure there is enough to go very far through the slots and wrap over onto the other side.

and dl4567 im sorry ill do that ill turn my iphone to the side,, working on switch now im taking a brake for a hour or so though im afraid of riping it and we can't have that started to get inpatient lol
and as for the lights? it was kinda the thing that was easiest and one hell of a difference i spent more time wet sanding the bubbles then soldering, i was foggy about the spraying them with the windo frost stuff but when the lights are off so so cool and if they get a scratch from rocking them all i have to do is a little wet sanding at least thats what i think ???

my best advice is to read entire thred first to last alot of knowledge hear on how to really make them but every one is different and has there own skill so pic and choose what your comfortable with and good luck there not easy
i just finished my first par and WOW the feeling when your dun is worth every bit of time and money lol and WHAT A HIGH some thing you cant buy

whats the best thing to spray shoes with to protect from stains and water ????? scotchgard or regular shoe protecter you get at shoe stores ???? i know the fabric is weird so i thaght you guys know best
