Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

the way the clear soles outriggers join the back of the midsole is different on the 1989 shoe.
and the front lip of the midsole on the 1989 shoe is more flat straight up.

It seems they changed many things on the 2011 shoe.

Creative licensing I guess...

Ok. Here is the moment you've been waiting for. Here are the replicas compared to the real MAGS. I can honestly say that these are REALLY well made. Just like the real Nike's. The biggest differences are the fabric is slightly green/grey and different texture. Also the LEDs are much brighter but the EL is much dimmer. The midsole is exact, the ankle buckle is exact, the clear soles are exact (except with less blue in them) and the fit is very close to the real ones. @cavx will be happy to know that the tongue is actually longer on the replicas. :)

Outstanding Brad. WOW!

Are both the same size?

The replica MAG just looks to be a touch taller.

the real mags are 10's and the replicas are 10.5. I agree, they are slightly taller

Having looked at all your images in full size, the buckle still looks better on the 2011 shoe. The cuff, whilst slightly OS on the 2016 looks better to me. And I do like that slightly longer tongue. I think no one should complain about these if they can get a pair for the listed $629USD.

Do you have an image of the inner mid-sole?

Any chance something could be wrong with the EL on that pair?
Low battery maybe? That looks way dimmer than the pics on their site, and would be really disappointing if that was the real brightness. The 2011 lights look amazing and perfectly balanced.

So if this is approved let's all go ahead and order :D

Shoes are approved - IE Jedifyfe like them enough to have bought a pair. This doesn't say anything about the site from which to order these yet. That part is still uncertain.

Nike made the 1989 and the 2011, they measured the 1989 and it had half MM and they thought they'd rather round up/down, so instead of this piece being 11.5mm they madeit 12mm

And the fact that the 6 pairs made for the film were done in the R&D department at NIKE. The 2011 shoes were made from taking measurements off one of the screen used shoes NIKE got back. Would be interesting to know what happened to the other shoe. The others seemed to be bought and sold as pairs.

Lets hope it is only the battery life. This almost looks like when there is just not enough amps going to the inverter for the EL. Maybe Jedifyfe can shed more light on this after he has let them run down and re-charged them.

If the EL is dim when fully charged, than thats not good. Normally, LEDs are the first to go dim.
Are they fully charged in those pics?
Maybe they've used a crap inverter or something if thats going to be the case.

Lets hope the electronics in these are even half good unlike the crap we got in the V2s. I really don't want to be pulling these down.

brb buying...

back. pulled the trigger on a 10.

im glad to see the longer tounge, when I tried on the real ones back in 11 one of the things I didn't like about them was that short tounge, as the move shoes have a longer one. if anything, id say these are more movie accurate than the real deal ones.

I figured the lights were dimmer, that would explain the longer battery life.

I'm charging them now. I think Lore is correct that the lights are dimmer due to the battery life or possible mah current. I wish I could tell when they are fully charged but the lights don't come on while charging. I guess I just have to wait a few hours.
