I messaged them last week and they said the charging ports are in the same place as the 2011 shoes.

The charge port is the same as in the same location as the 2011 mags, on the ankle braces, and they charge with the special adapter which I've shown in the photo album.
Cool, thanks. Can you post a picture of the charge ports? and maybe a photo of them charging? Does the red LED's light up while charging and do the green LED's light up when fully charged.

So I went ahead an paid as "goods and services"
And It was refunded the next day.
They contacted me and requested I DO NOT put a shipping address or any notes whatsoever in the payment, no reference to what I'm buying at all is allowed and they will only accept the payment as a friends and family payment. No exceptions.
The payment itself went to a young kid (judging by PayPal photo)
What does everyone else think?
Yes someone has done a review and gotten them. Great. But there is no protection what so ever from this seller.

How good is his email response? I think you really need to be asking him several questions so you know where this is going.

The person that responds to the emails is not the seller.
I think his friend refered to them as "factory grunts"
The actual seller has never responded to me in my 5 attempts to contact him

That is what I am talking about. If he really wants people to throw $629USD (over $800AUD) at these, he had better step up the level communication and actually build trust online so people will buy.

I agree. From my experience and just looking at the interactions, responses and situation... To me this doesn't feel like a legit seller.
Im not saying he isn't... Im just saying at this stage I still don't know.
In their favor they did refund me the payment I made when I didn't follow their instruction to pay as family and friends. That's a positive.
What I havnt added is that in each email response explaining their PayPal instructions (there have been 4) they have ended it telling me I should really just use western union as they will give me a discount.
The smart thing to do would be to just wait and see if other people's orders arrive. But even so, we have seen longtime reputable sellers go down the dark path even with buyer protection.... Without protection... Seems like im crazy to even consider it.

I still think its very early days for these, the hype is huge right now because they have turned out so well but as you said i think its wise to wait and see if more people's orders begin to turn up.
Hopefully we begin to see these turn up for sale in the usual places (ali-express etc...) only then will i think about laying down some cash.

Just wanted to let you guys know again that David's Skype is "zhilongtrade" and he always replies to me on there. I keep seeing people say they can't contact him so I just thought I'd let you know. Also I just talked to him and he said that the other sizes for the mags will be available next week.

OK I'll play. Top pair is the 2011 MAG. The tell tale is the bluish soles.
I actually like the clear soles on this pair better. The toe is a bit more rounded and the heel cup seems to be slightly over sized which again, I like. There is nothing wrong with these as a replica and for the price, the best we will see.

Yeah the soles are the clear giveaway, but they have done a very impressive job on these. the more i see pictures of the toe the less i am bothered about the slight bulge.
They just look fantastic.

Agreed. I can't think of anything (apart from maybe a sock toe slim) to mod on them.
I just hope they have used a better rubber on those soles then the rubber used on the V2s. It would be disappointing if they go yellow like the V2 soles.
I guess if they do yellow, there is a source for UV stable rubber
