Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

Could the stripes be a moire effect from the camera?

The stripes are visible just like the pictures. It is not as soft as the V2's. Feels like it is a nylon material. Here are some pictures with & without flash.

Thanks HanSewLow! Finally, someone who can take and post some decent quality pics.
Wow, they look like the real 2011 shoes in comparison to those V2's. And speaking of, those poor, poor V2's, which I've always liked and enjoyed wearing, suddenly look TERRIBLE by contrast. :cry.
hahaha yes I feel just the same. Always liked the V2s (though doing a few mods is definitely worth it) - I'm only halfway there saving for the v3s.... nice to know more people are recieving them. And when you think of the price, how much do women pay for jewelery sometimes, right? (or us guys pay for them) :D These are our equivalent.

Acquiring BTTF2 2015 clothing items is not cheap, but in the end, we've been waiting so long it doesn't even matter :cool

Look at it this way: $600 or $5k? :D

Don't hammer them too hard. The V2s in the picture are rock stock, so it will be interesting to see how these look against a modded pair. Hopefully Brad or someone will bring a slim toed version of the V2 or maybe even a pair with my clear soles.

so looking forward to the side by sides with the real 2011 MAG.

Definitely, it will be pretty cool to see how close they actually are.

Getting a bit more excited seeing people actually receiving their V3s.....might have to go for it myself soon.

I still want to see a pair of these sock toed. You want movie accurate MAGs, then you HAVE to have the sock toe.

I was thinking about this...obviously the V3s still have a few choice mods that could be done to make them more accurate......sock/slim toe and making the collar less puffy...

Wondering who on here has the skill and steady hands to mod a pair of $600 shoes without screwing it up (Definitely not me!)

shoxxo

Apart from this case having pad lock holes, I think this is about as close to a "found" case I can get to the case that came with your Stompers.

Can you post or PM me some pics of the case please?

I think most will just leave them as they are. If the rubber is anything like the rubber on the V2s, then a sock toe won't be that hard. Not sure about the cuff slim though. The more I see these, the more I like the clear soles over the 2011 MAG's blue soles. I did my soles clear to better represent the movie shoe.

Freaking awesome collection right here.

How much more did you have to to pay for the black case for the stompers? I ask because from time to time, my local hardware store gets these cases in (and I am sure they are exact) for less than $50.00. All that is needed is the sticker.

Also it that one of Jovan's Tube bags?

Not trying to move this thread away from MAGs too much, but I'm sure you are aware of how hard it was to get the stompers, like many others, I had the stompers in my cart online (on the UK and US Reebok sites) but I couldn't checkout and missed out initially. So I managed to get the Hi and Mid stompers through a seller on Klekt from Germany (obviously at a higher price than original :facepalm). The Hi stompers with the black case were very limited and were handed out first-come, first-served in some stores. There was no way I could afford to buy them together, prices on eBay were/are £1000+, which is crazy really, as like you say, you could probably pick up a similar case for $50-$100. I managed to find a dude online that was willing to split the shoes from the black case, so I got the case separately later. With shipping and getting it into the UK it worked out around £300, which was much more than I wanted to pay for just the case, but I figured it would actually add value to my stomper collection (not that I am looking to sell it on, but it makes me feel better at spending the extra £££, and hopefully it's an investment, it also came with the magazine and Ripley/Reebok poster) If you can get a similar case cheaper and create the sticker, also the foam insert and transparent plastic layer inside (with Reebok and Weyland logo printed on it) you would have a nice replica. And yes, that is a Jovan bag.
cavx I will PM you when i get chance to get some more pics :thumbsup

Actually the puffy collar is accurate to the movie. The less puffy look was a design choice only for the 2011 shoes.

the 2011 is actually a bit off in the soles too compared with 1989.
The made the 2011 soles more slanting on the sides for some reason and the heel on the 2011 version is fatter than the 1989 movie shoe.
The way the clear rubber joins the back of the shoe is also different on the 1989 movie shoe.
Also the toebox which is a sock.
Soft floppy collars and more wider Laces area.Softer Bigger and taller tongue too.
That's what we saw on screen and thats what I prefer!
But i'll still be getting this new pair to see what its about.

so what can the people that have gotten them in hand tell us about the sizing compared to your regular nike shoe size?

so what can the people that have gotten them in hand tell us about the sizing compared to your regular nike shoe size?

I usually wear a Size 10.5 in sneakers. The V2's I have are 10.5, the HC's Size 10.5, Nike's & Adidas I wear 10.5. In dress shoes I wear 9.5. I ordered these in Size 10.5. They are labeled US10.5 but are at least 1 size too big for me. Based off these that I have on hand, I think I'd need to order 1 Size smaller.

I would suggest a half size down or a full size down when buying these. My 8.5s feel like a 9 for sure.

I ordered 2 more pairs in a size 8. Just waiting on them to finish them. Hopefully the 8's will fit like a glove :)

Hmm that's a little troubling for me because I ordered my normal shoe size.
