I actually purchased one last month. It was pretty decent. A few of the decals and Velcro began to peel off, but I fixed it with a dab of super glue. I can post pics of mine if you would like them!
Is it a good idea if you want to make a grey fabric a little lighter to soak it in some water with a really low bleach concentration? Because I found a fabric that is a pretty good match. It's nice and flexible, but it's a tad too dark.

Thanks, yes that mesh seems to be working out well.
No there was no mention of the new owner. Yes it would be awesome to see the actual screen used prop and take some high res images. I got a few goods ones though and was able to work out from them why there is a grove on the ends. Now that I know why, I'll be able to include this on mine.
Something that's been a question for me about that bag is what was the purpose for the knob that Doc turns to make the plastic more transparent? Was it a lock of some kind?

Yeah, that'd be great if you can! I did a quick google image search, and I already see a few inaccuracies that I'm not that fond of, but I already bought it, so can't go back now!! That's what I get for making a prop purchase without doing the research first :unsure

I think it is supposed to be however I could not see any knob on the bag from the images of the screen used one. There are yellow dots (LEDs?) in the recessed handles, but nothing else. So like the sound effect, I would say it was just done by the actor as part of the effect. The bag does have feet though. 4 small round rubber knobs at the bottom to stop is rolling.

I do want to apologize if I offended you or anyone else. That post was made in spite, trying to puff my big boy chest on the internet in response to what was said to me. I am not knocking anyone else's work and I think it is great that so many people have made the effort and provided such information in collaboration to help one another.
I may be new here, but I am not new to fabrication of any sort nor am I trolling. That is not how a "new" member should be treated, with the presumption that they are not knowledgeable and should "gtfo" pretty much. Or am I mistaken? 1,000 posts doesn't mean you have more knowledge than someone with 10 posts so one should not treat another as such.

My main "accuracy" concern is that the lenticular material on the sidewalls of his newer versions is much too wide.....in the screen version, it's very narrow...

Yeah, the taper is not the same at all. I kinda jumped head first into the purchase....:lol
We'll see how it looks when it arrives. I may have to resell it and try to acquire a matty collector or hoverboard.org.uk version if there are any floating around
