Newbie Prop Collections? All members new & established welcome to post!!

Brad - I'm a bit jealous of just how nicely you have your props displayed. Not just strewn about (like myself). For some odd reason shelves and cabinets are just never as appealing as getting that next prop you’ve had your eye on for the past five minutes. (Another one of those “If I just had this my life would be complete” items) lol

I hope to someday to have your discipline... The way you have your collection displayed is fantastic!

Hey Snowshoe, what part of the Mountain State you from? I grew up there and now live on the MD/WV border.

Hello jcoffman99, I grew up in Webster County on top of Point Mountain.

Here is my dusty, cat hair covered, poorly displayed collection.

My mostly trek bottle collection.

Love the PKE meter. Are there electronics inside it?

Yes, but not very good electronics. I built it several years ago using an 8 stage LED chase circuit from radioshack. I got the lights to flash in the right pattern as was posted on the RPF many moons ago. The wings used to function as well but the motor inside has given up the ghost.

Brad,

maybe this was discussed elsewhere, but I have to ask..

why the pixelation on a few certain (what appear to be sabers) next to your Jedi Training Remote?

somone had to (bite) say it.. ?:lol

They look more like Academy awards.

"Are they Oscars? "

Ahh.. now I can see it. That would make sense, as I've heard a big no no in replicating one or the other.. can't remember which.

I was thinking they were standing sabers around the remote.. but I didn't look close enough at the base.

Curious minds now want to see "THESE" props :love

Oh..and um, in the SW case.. so I'm curious to know whats engraved on them, or if thye have a different resemblence of someone/thing.

Never the less.. nice photos so far in this thread.

A few more pics.

Loving seeing all this stuff. One of the hardest parts to get just right is the amount of stuff versus tasteful display. They are all looking great. Love the Trek bottle collection. Something different there. Kevjh....I really enjoyed how you laid it all out. It just invites the eye. I really liked the Hannibal masks.

The rest of you guys. WOW!

snowshoe-archangel, I hafe to ask, we're did you get your glass shelving unit?

I'll hafe to take pics. of my collection...I don't have any new ones because my bedroom (I'm 18 BTW) experienced water damage, which led to a wall being replaced, which is not yet completeted. But I'll take some pics. of my stuff laying evrywhere. :wacko

I've got alot of SW stuff, which I'm selling quite a bit of, mostly to fund buying props. So hopefully in the next few years I'll have more props as apose to toys. :lol I'd like to be able to find some glass/metal display cases and stuff to fill as well. As soon as I can take my personal space back, I deffintly plan to redo my area. Its sorta hard to display my SW stuff and the props I want to in just a bedroom. Some day I'll have more space for the clutter. I meen-uh! Good stuff! Its all good stuff, thats what it is. ;) :p

But as for now, I'll just hoard stuff up. :p

snowshoe-archangel, I hafe to ask, we're did you get your glass shelving unit?

I got the glass shelves from work. My department was moved into a retail space and after many months of waiting for previous occupants to clear out their stuff, the glass and the connectors were left behind. Possibly because of the numerous scratches or some of the corners being chipped off. Rather than seeing it all go into a dumpster I put it to better use.
