New TOS Phaser Handle Colour Suggestion:

I *believe* I've found an excellent handle colour!
A solid coat of Rustoleum dark bronze metallic, then a very light coat of Rustoleum metallic charcoal, finished with a very fine misting of dark bronze again.
Looks dark grey in shadow, but a bronzey aluminum in bright light.

What do you think? Does it look right? :confused

I've always liked the Testors Model Master Gunmetal or Titanium paints. Metallic without having visible metal flakes and go on like a dream straight from a spraycan.

This is Gunmetal, Titanium is slightly lighter...

That's pretty much what my handle looks like, colour-wise. I was treading a fine line between dark & light, bronze & metallic grey. LOL, and all I really had to do was go for Testors Model Master Gunmetal!!! Oh well, different roads; same destination.

I would say that it's a pretty good color match. Something that I will have to keep in mind when I start to rework my phasers.
