New to RPF - Catwoman costume project

Depending on the fit issue, you might be able to just coil the whip a little more loosely.

What Risu says. Just don't coil the whip as tight. The whip my wife uses is just a 6 footer. It had a 1.5 foot fall, but I took it off. And instead of a fall I took 2 sets of leather boot laces to make it look like the comic version. The only down side is that the whip doesn't crack.

I am going to take Sakara and Risu's advice. It will give me a reason to go outside and play with my whip. Hopefully none of my elder nieghbors come out and ask me questions.

I think my whip is like 12 ft long. For some reason I thought that would be okay. It wasn't very expensive but I can be cheap and I don't want to buy another one.

If your serious about practice, look up adam winrich on youtube. I have been using a whip for years, and have learned more from his tutorials in just a few months. Also wear long sleeves, and a brimmed hat. Using a whip is fun, and with a little practice fairly easy. But getting cut by a whip is not fun.

I know how to crack a whip, my step-dad taught me.
I don't know why I posted that, I just figured on the subject of whips and all...

I spent a summer trying to learn to use one. It was a really badly braided whip so getting it to crack was out of the picture. The best I could do was being able to consistently flip a light switch on. I couldn't for the life of me get the whip to turn the light switch off.

The whip you have is good for ONE thing and ONE thing only....hanging on a belt. Trying to succesfully crack that thing is like trying to meet Capn' Crunch....it's just not gonna happen!:lol
Buy a whip from Todds Costumes and dye it black....those can be cracked and are much cheaper than the high end whips.

I did get the costume. However I cannot fit in it at this time. It's a little embarressing but I am working on it :0/. Sorry all. I will take pictures of the costume itself with everything I have so far. Once my body shrinks (lol) I will put the costume on and take pictures.

Judging from the picture you posted above with the boots, you are probably just being too hard on yourself. :thumbsup I do agree with Bonded Hawk though, costuming is a great weight loss motivator.

Here is some pics of the goggles (without the lenses) and my whip. My cat wouldnt move so he is part of the pictures as well. He makes a great model doesnt he?

P90X and Insanity. Talk to Skalen Fehl on the board here. He is a excellent coach if you need one. P90X will kick anyone's rear.
