And so the little butes are back and what a nice looking uniform they have these day. More robust and heavier looking. I like the way Neill has kept the head as close to the original as possible and mirroring some of the more classic looks of earlier designs.

Can't wait to see these in action.

Cool! In the "Sarah Jane Adventures" she even just made fun of how they look like a potato! Hehehehehehe

Wow, very very cool, thanks for posting that. They did a great job updating them but still keeping that classic look. Looking forward to season 4.

I have NEVER seen this show. I'd never even heard of Dr. Who until a few months ago. I'm slightly interested, where should I start?

If you've never seen Doctor Who before I'd start by watching the most recent series 1 - 2 and 3... I'm sure there are plenty of DVD box sets out there:)

Before then from 1963 to 1988 the series ran virtually none stop. But the effects and costumes and sets were nothing like as good as today and the same could be said about the acting and direction... Where Doctor Who has always shone above other Sci fi series is the stories.

Squat? Check.

Ugly? Check.

Militaristic? Check.

Works for me :thumbsup

Cyberman's suggestion of starting with the new series (Seasons 1-3; Season 3 should be out shortly) is excellent advice. See what you make of it.

If you can stomach lower quality production values, I'd recommend the following Classic Serials (which should all be available on DVD in whatever Region you're in):

Genesis of the Daleks
The Time Warrior
The Talons of Weng-Chiang
The Robots of Death
The Mind Robber

Be seeing you,

Magnus Darcrider

I think I would have preferred the suit to have been black and grey but on the whole I like it.

They're also running them on our local PBS station, though you being a few hours south of here, you likely don't get the same station :)

BBC America also is running them, too. They also have the spinoff series Torchwood which is a spinoff of (and an anagram of) Dr. Who.

Good lord, can't friggin wait!!!! Thank you for posting this.

Well, David Tennent is IMHO a lot more fun to watch as Doctor Who, so I always tell people to start with only the last couple of episodes of series 1, and go right into the Tennent series. Eccleston was just less characmatic in the role.

See, I'd say you want to watch the entire Eccleston run, if for nothing else than to appreciate just what a drastic change for Rose the Tenth Doctor was from what she'd been used to. The Ninth Doctor isn't as cheeky as the tenth, but deep down I feel he's a nicer person, far more merciful than the Tenth.

I would always say start at the beginning of series 1 as there's some important explonation of the Timelords Tardis etc etc that need to be understood for the rest of the episodes. :D

Start with the 9th. As mentioned, a lot of explaining is done in the early episodes. Plus, Eccleston was a better Doctor.

That Sontaran is perfect.
Only last night I was talking with a friend, saying how I was afraid they'd update the design. He looks great!

They really kept to the original design on the Sontaran. I just watched the invasion of time last weekend and I can not wait to see the new episode.

I never noticed that was an anagram for doctor who, sweet :lol
