New RPF artwork thread

Re: I can't find the old "art" tread, so...

Awesome cover art, Pat! Did you do the text-art too?

Sean

No the text art was designed befor I even came on board to do the cover art.
Since the book isn't out yet (And I don't have a copy of it) , I had to cut&paste the text from an earlier issue. I just did that so you guys could get an idea of what the final published book will look like.

Actually, if you look in the October issue (#82) of "Play" magazine, there's an ad for Radical Comics which includes an image of my book with the true final text layout. (It basically looks exactly like the one I posted here.)

THought I'd post this up.

Looks great! Steve's a nice dude and a pal. We almost worked on some cool stuff together earlier this year. Woulda' been fun if there had been time.

Here's a few quick drawings I did for an Halloween an upcoming art show here in Austin.

Yeah, Russell is good people!

I left Houston right when Domy was starting up there. It's great to have a place like that in Austin now. Fun stuff.

Are you still in Houston?

Yeah. I'll be here forever it seems. Good luck with the show. Did you ever go to the sketch club meetings? If your ever in Houston, let me know.

Here's some older ship sketches I colored with marker the other day. The car is new. I tried to draw what I remember the Tron lightcycle looking like.

Indeed, great work, FB. Not sure why, but I love the stetch lines being visible.

Thanks! I think it helps define the shape more. If I render them, I would get probably get rid of the lines but I haven't got that far yet! :lol

Well I'm not on par with what I've seen here, but this thread inspired me to start drawing again. After much practice I'm actually willing to show this off:

Obviously inspired by Bruce Timm's style. Sketched by hand, then inked in Sharpie, scanned and colored in Photoshop. Nothing fancy, but I felt like showing it off.

re: New RPF "artwork" thread

That Joker has definately the right "toony" feel for me:cool

And this is my current desktop... I thought I should post it here...:)

Made both because I liked the movie and as a "reminder"... I'm too damn busy!!!:wacko

Dune - Great job!

Franz - I'm a big fan of Keith Thompson's, and IMO most of his vehicles don't look any better than yours.

re: New RPF "artwork" thread

Here's a piece I did like 8 years ago, I've gotten much better cents then.

Does the art have to be Sci-Fi ?

I don't like to share my sci-fi on the net.
