NEW! (Metal) Cross of Coronado - Progress Thread

Update:

After a couple of attempts I got a somewhat decent cast, but not the best. It is good enough to show you what it looks like with the gems in though!:love:thumbsup

Jumpin' Jeebus!
Are we any closer to a final price yet? (I just want to make sure I have the funds ready when the time comes)

Brenton, at this point I don't know why I'm surprised, but I still see every one of your update posts with childlike wonder. Your work is absolutely fantastic!!!! Bravo!!!

I can't wait to see it with paint and a nice chain on it.

All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once you do get a good cast on this it is going to look amazing! Not that it doesn't now:eek

I'm really appreciating you taking us through how you are making your cross, being able to see these step by step pics is just great!

Thanks:thumbsup

are we spinning on a 12 inch pie or gravity pouring from the bottom?
you are clearly very talented but i have at my disposal a team with a combined 30 yrs exp in spincasting and may have had similiar problems in the past.
is it a voiding problem or pourocity?
pardon my nosiness.
have several items made by you and all have been of the utmost caliber

Agreed.... that is a HORRIBLE cast. I think you should send it to me for immediate disposal and start over from scratch :)

Seriously though, I've had the Magnoli cross which I loved, but was definitely a bit too thick. Yours is totally amazing. No shock after seeing all of your other stuff. Can't want to see it finished.
