Hey Brenton,
I think that what have done is correct. If the cross IS 22cm long and you blew up the photo to that size and took measurements and those came out to 18cm wide, then I would go with that. It is possible that the archives book isn't entirely accurate. I mean, they have the wrong Golden Idol in there as well.

And we have been told that these props were kind of thrown together for an exhibit in Japan and the "Archives" book was made from the program guide of that exhibit. So the measurements might be off.

I think I remember hearing about that about the archives book before.
So, is the Golden Idol's measurements off too, or are they accurate?

Could not the Cross in the archive book be a "stunt" cross or something. They did run around on top of the train and other stuff that would not be vise to do with a hero prop.

I'm believe that some of the measurements in the archives book are incorrect, or at least approximate. I remember several discussions leading to this conclusion, in the past.

Not sure about the idol. But the idol shown with the frown was an idol that was sculpted off a screen used and modifications were made to it prior to that idol being given to Mr. Hata, who was the person in charge of the Japanese Archive Exhibit.

The Gobler idol is the most screen accurate idol available. That idol was cast off an ILM idol.

Sorry for the long delay on this, but I've been busy remodeling my kitchen!:unsure
If any of you have done this, then you know how much of a drawback it can be on other projects!(n)angry
Anyways, something that is long overdue, here is the acrylic master for the Cross of Coronado, with big special thanks to Philip (Rebelscum) for engraving and cutting the cross with his laser from the graphic files I provided.
All I need to do now is sculpt the Corpus and throw it all into molds!:love:thumbsup

Sidenote: These are right out of the laser machine and have not been cleaned up at all.

Enjoy!

Very nice, very clean!. Did you settle on the dimensions yet? Thickness? What metal are you making them out of?

Thanks!
The dimensions are 17cm Wide x 22cm Long.
The thickness of the cross itself is .5cm, and with the corpus (1.3 - 1.5cm thick at the chest) will make it close to 2cm thick.
This will be cast in pewter and gold-plated!:love:thumbsup

I just peed my pants a little.

Is it time for an interest thread?
