Hi everyone, Porthos here. Late 30's, proud dad, movie fan and halloween lover. While working on my costume for this year I stumbled upon this board and I have to admit it helped me with my costume but I've now decided to go from beeing a lurker to becoming a member of your community. I bought this coat (hope to receive a smaller one today, the one I received is a bit too big) NEW English Wax Cotton Classic Motorcycle Jacket Black | eBay
Will give more details on my work when I'll add the other pictures later today or in the days to come.

looking good. i am doing the capitol city comic con next year in july in Austin,Texas, and will be BANE all 3 days. 1st day with this outfit, 2nd day with his long coat look , and the 3rd day with the vest and long sleeve shirt.

"Paging Stunt Double to the Set!" That is fantastic.

Can I offer two suggestions?

1. Cut or take a black Sharpie to the kneepad tags to get rid of the yellow.
2. You said that you are going to use most of the costume for daily wear. Im assuming that does not include the DCS vest. If so, you might want to consider weathering the chest patch and take some fine sandpaper to the reflective silver stripes to dull them.

Other than that, nailed it.

Awesome costume! My training buddy also went as Bane this Halloween and for Comikaze 2013. You can see the pics in my Family Of Steel album. His is the main suit, but yours stands out because it is a scene specific suit. That aspect alone is great and you really pulled it off well!
