Sorry it took so long to respond. I have been tied up with other things. I will be offerring the head with or without the dome. There has been an interest for both options. Hopefully I will have more pictures next weekend.

I think I have finally figured out a way of mixing and pouring the clear epoxy to make a good dome. It took some time with a few more attempts than I expected but the results are what I was hoping for.
One picture is the dome still partially on the mold. The 2 other pictures show a dome that is being trimmed.

Here is a picture of my black and gray alien. I am currently working on the alien head with more of a brown tint. I am working on fitting the dome to the head and will blend the brown colors in.
The dome is about a quarter inch thick, with it being thicker in some areas due to the form of the mold. The dome iteslf does weigh a couple of pounds.

That looks great!
It's ashame that the photos are so small though. Can't see the details and paint job very well.

I've seen this before on Ebay, it's amazing. It's probably the best Alien costume I've seen outside of the movies themselves. I'd love to get one myself some day.

Thank you to everyone for your positive comments.
After one of my attempts I did consider vac-form, I posted an interest thread but no one relpied. I also checked locally for anyone who could help me. I also thought of building my own vac-form table but I decided once again and again to try and work with the 690
Here are a few more pictures of my Alien Head that will eventually be painted brown in the next week or so. The dome has been made and trimmed. I will be working on attaching the dome soon....

What colors did you use? I am also doing mine brown. Right now I have Liquitex raw umber and FW inks sapia. The spots that I have tested are pretty dark. I have not decided if I what to lighten them yet.

that's pretty awesome, I've not yet been able to get out and about in mine. I'm interested in what they did with the tail, I'd hate to have it just dragging. This is probably my favorite piece I own, thank you again.
