That Loki better be able to alternate between armored and unarmored...

*sigh* It will be bought, I may not like that you can't remove the armor, but I will try to get over it. I am shocked though, considering they give you the different weapons. It would be easy too, the extra armor is merely part of the cape for the most part.

However, what is with the redish brown on the pants? I don't recall seeing that, ever?

Those Avenger figures look scary realistic and are incredible! Would make a great addition to any collection.

I just found that there are series 2 of Mass Effect figures. Don't know how recent/old they are but i MUST get hold of a Garrus and Legion figure! The other 2 are Mordin and Miranda.

There's going to be others released later this year. Heres everyone's favorite Turian.

Looks pretty sweet.

Maybe it was their own creative touch or the files they got had an alternative set of pants in them. I was looking at photos on google and I can't see any with the red on the inside.

I have a few Hot Toys, the latest being Superman, and it never ceases to amaze me that each new release looks better than that last. That Loki is probably the best head sculpt I've seen.

Amazing.

What is everyone's thoughts on Medicom Toys? I've always wanted a good Darth Vader, as well as C-3PO & R2-D2. It just so happens that Medicom has all 3 available for pre-order now. I've read some things that leads me to believe that Medicom is less than accurate?

What concerns me the most is the following quote:

"the RAH 12-inch line is not in the exact same scale as the Sideshow 12-inch figure line. Figures may not be comparable in size and scale to Sideshow Collectibles' 12-inch Star Wars figures."

So what gives? If they're the same scale, why aren't they the same size?
Are they less detailed?
Are they less accurate?
Why should I avoid them?
Why should I pre-order the ones I want?

Please share your thoughts and reviews of Medicom and help me make a more informed decision! Thanks!

The problem is that Medicom CALLS them 1:6th scale but they're actually MUCH closer to 1:7th and they're also PLAGUED with QC problems, I can't tell you how many Medi owners I've heard griping about how they went to adjust the pose and the figure fell apart in their hands.
If you look at comparison shots, the Medicom figures look like cosplaying children next to their true 1:6th counterparts.
Also, Medicom is WAY overpriced.
The pictures I've added are not my own. I gleaned them over time.
While Sideshow's Vader was a little too tall, Medicom's was WAY undersized.

Their stormtroopers fared no better (I should note that the Marmit figures here are roughly the same size as the sideshow stormies)

There are some rabid Medicom fans who defend Medicom tooth and nail but I have NO idea why.
If you call it 1:6th, MAKE it 1:6th.

I only have the RAH Boba, I still haven't taken it out of the box to see the quality...and I purchased it 3 years ago.

I have the first RAH Vader and it's pretty well done, but like people have said, NOT true 1:16 scale. Also, the paint on the head is a bit too subtle, and worst of all, I could not get his hands to stay on. If his arms are his sides, the hands don't stay put more than a few minutes. Quality materials in the costume, however.

At the end of the day, I prefer Sideshow's.

As cool as that is, I'm going to pass. No way my GF would let me live if I had the Keaton Batmobile and that too. Can't imagine what the price tag is going to be.
