Suggestion New Forum suggestion: CGI

Does anyone think a dedicated section for CGI modeling might be a good idea? Now that I have my 3D Printer coming next week, I'd LOVE for reviews by the experts to try and get the model as perfect as possible. I'm sure with 3D Printers becoming more affordable, you are going to find more people looking to get into and get reviews on their current cgi models...

I personally don´t think so.There are enough forums out there that cater to the needs of the modelers, especially since each software package has its own problems and or way of doing things. It´s IMO just like asking for a sub forum on Dremels or resins or other tools and materials.

3D is just another tool in the box, just like 3D printing is. The RPF is about the content, the educational part of seeing how things are created is IMO just a very cool side effect, and always has been. But it's mainly about the props and costumes.

i was just looking up this sort of question before, where are the CG goods going? i've been modeling characters and objects from video games without the intent to print them.

the yield would be a sketchfab or a render.

if cgi bothers the General Modeling thread readers a new thread would make sense.
