I agree, I don't like the look of it much but I do hope it means the effort they are putting into his doctor will mean he will appear in the anniversary episode, he deserves a bit of quality screen time

And on this, I hope you're right. McGann deserves more screen time.
Hell, I'm still holding out hope for "The 12 Doctors" (It'd be a great time to regenerate Mr. Smith).

Although the tv movie was crappy, his portrayal of the doctor was one of my favourites, and his audio episodes have at times been just brilliant, plus his genuine love and enthusiasm for the role speaks volumes

Please God no. Don't want to see it. I, and I imagine many of you, already have that pictured in my head. The less back story the better, it keeps the Doctor mysterious.
LOVE McGann, want to see him back for sure in the 50th, but don't give us the Time War and don't give us the regeneration.
So far as #9 coming back I'm gonna say not a chance. I'd put money on that. For the 75th? Maybe.

I'm surprised there hasn't been any leak of what's to come. Only 10 months to November. Weren't they shooting the beginning of this past season in NYC in january or february? That's 6-7 months ahead of airing.
Any info on the 2nd half of the current season?
Update, found an article that said April. Sorry, but 7 months between 'halves' of a season kinda sucks.

David Tennant was on the Jonathan Ross show last week over here in the UK and Ross pressed him for details on his involvment in the anniversary show, David gave nothing away but it was beyond obvious that he is involved, hopefully they will keep it all completely underwraps. As for info on the 2nd half I posted a load of photos a few pages back from the preview trailer, rumours are pointing to the Ice Warriors being involved in the submarine episode, also returning for the finale are Jenny, Madame Vastra and Straxx

Whilst I would personally be doing cartwheels, backflips, and somersaults of joy at the prospect of THAT Jenny coming back, it is actually Madame Vastra's companion, who is also called Jenny.......curses
I miss the less gimmicky companions.
