New CONAN Bust!

DON'T start a flame war about this, but didn't someone here use to make an all resin Atlantean sword off the $3000.00 Jody Sampson one?

I could REALLY use a copy of the hilt with about 3" of the blade for an upcoming project.

Are you trying to make a sort of "broken" display like the Father's sword a while back? I'd like to see that, always reminds me of Narsil.

No, but I DID really like that piece.

I'm going to make a turbo, badass 1:1 bust of Arnie as Conan, and I need the sword hilt to stick up over his shoulder like when he wore it on his back.

Yeah, if i can do this thing they way I want, it's going to be a real showpiece. I want to do it all the way down to show off his medallion, then have the whole thing on a craggy stone=look base with the logo. :thumbsup

I'm also, thinking of doing seperate, statue-like eyes versus the lifelike ones so people like me can build him up as a faux bronze bust.

Hey, does anyone know where I can find a font of the logo? I found one called "Hyborian" that's pretty close to the title credits, but I'm really looking for the font used in the logo with the sword through it.

Does anyone know what the lathed/turned part of that kind of base is called? I was thinking "plinth" but apparently those are square. I KNOW those are available, ready made for sculptors, but I can't google them w/o knowing what the proper name is.
