Ok you will need to go to this link http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=236356 to get on the list ok.![]()
So, having spent weeks trying to track down adhesion promoter in the craptacular small town I live in, I finally tried Napa, and discovered a can at two bucks on clearance! Yay! Question for those that have gone this route - this stuff should grip to the PPE of the Falcon, and once I've got that on, I should be able to use CA as normal for the new resin parts, is that correct?
.
Another thing that just occurred to me, years and years back I picked up one of the last of the original run of DP Vader Classic Action helmets. I was told at the time that to get paint to stick to the heavy vinyl of that lid, I'd need to hit it with a flex-adhesion coating first. Anyone know if the adhesion promoter is the same thing? Can I just go nuts and adhesion-promote the heck out of that old lid, then spray it up in a nice gloss while I wait for the Falcon parts, or is flex-adhesion promoter something different?
.
Derp, one LAST thing - anyone who has received a level two or three kit from FZ/Salzo, can you confirm if the cockpit is missing the panel scribing present on the stock part? I presume resin is fairly easy to scribe, but just want spend some of my waiting time to try and work up a template of panels and/or scribing which may need to be added back.
Hi Timmy!
The casted cabin cone long is the second improved version that has some panels engraved but not all the panels. I've designed later a new version that is not the actual casting mould...
Cheers

Okay that isn't very clear. Am I going to need to engrave some panels? I hate upgrading upgrades.

From what I could tell by someone's posted pics of their received kit, it looks like the cone has some panel lines engraved fore-aft, but lacks the complex, notched paneling of the stock piece, and which are on the only version of FZ6ès cone now viewable at Shapeways. Now, I'm actually starting to wonder if I've got some of my reference pics screwed up, as looking back through everything, I've got some pics of the 32 incher which seem to suggest it doesn't HAVE that complex paneling, and that I may have had some 5 footer pics mixed up in my 32 inch reference folder. Oddly, over the thousand or so pics I pulled of the Onedrive archive, the starboard side of the model isn't photographed at all, and I've got no direct views of the outboard side of the cockpit.

Starboard views of the 32" cockpit. Not too complicated.
