New BMF coming

I'd imagine there is going to be an explosion of new posts once those resin kits are done...Is everyone still on board? I'd imagine some of you jumped ship for the "Build the falcon" project instead... For me..I am doing both..but a lot slower...This stuff is expensive! Pacing is everything
 
I'm doing both. I actually butchered a legacy falcon for parts for one, waiting on a set of resin for the 2nd. I have a 3rd but will wait for the release of the new movie and make that one and I'm also building the Deagastoni.

5' Falcon kit-One of my two Holy Grails as mentioned. The Ark of the Covenant is the other

Deagostini Falcon Model/Magazine-Ordered

6' Toys R Us Falcon. Had one, was easily my favorite piece. Even though the 5' Model will take it's place as my favorite Falcon I still want this behemoth back. LOVE IT!!!!!!

Master Replicas Falcon-Maybe. As the Deagostini Falcon gets made they will probably offer and Episode 7, plus another company will likely offer an Episode 7 SS Falcon and all the Falcon guys will be busy getting kits, the Deagostini Falcon and so on, so the price on the MR will come down. Basic supply and demand, so if they come down back to normal I would still like to replace mine but if not the Deagostini will be fine as it's gonna be better when all is said and done, interiors, landing gear, etc.

New Hasbro-I have two, now I just need all the upgrades, etc. Gonna be about 1k when all is said and done.

Need a replacement Vintage Falcon


Still Have:

Gonna give one of my 6 BMFs a good overhaul with a new paint job, some upgrades, hoses on the landing gear, etc. I will have a second one to display figures in the famous scenes, Jabba and Han, Asteroid chase cockpit, Luke med bay, Luke training/Chess, Han in gunner seat, etc.

Got the 95 Falcon

MPC-No upgrades like the Lucasfilm one

Cutaway Falcon Model

Kenner 10" Micro Falcon-Stand in in my collection for the Medical Frigate Falcon. Usually displayed with the 5' model.

3D Puzzle Falcon

I'm sure I am forgetting some, misc Micro Machines pieces, etc.

What No FINE MODELS falcon? Or Fantasy Flight Falcon? or Disney Die-Cast Falcon? :)

Well it depends on how complete you want your fleet... there also those short stubby cartoon-like falcons they came out with back in the episode 1 days. Reminded me of muppet babies with the figures!

And what about the original Kenner diecast, Jameth? Surely if you've got a Micro Collection (man, I NEVER saw one of those on the shelf!) there's one or two in your collection? I remember no matter how much I loved my big Falcon (forty bucks back in the day, saved dilligently from my allowance!), there was just...something about that little guy that looked so right.

I'm certainly anxious for some resin add-ons. I originally bought 2 new Hasbro Falcons (one as a back-up in case I really screw up, I'm a major novice compared to you guys) but ended up letting one go to a buddy. By the time he realized this was released he had missed them, and I couldn't bring myself to closet one when a good pal was interested (I'm a sucker..:$).

Anyway, I've never worked with resin (or LEDs, or cutting this type plastic) so I'm skipping interior. Plan on vents, sidewalls, cannon, engine LEDs...maybe cockpit. Since I lost my backup I'm basically waiting to see you guys apply resin parts and blatantly copy. Kinda pathetic, I know, but I'm a little out of my depth with no safety net.

Since I also collect couple lines of figures/statues, buy graphic novels monthly and have a video game habit I figure keeping this project around 150 to 200 dollars is enough to come out with an in flight falcon that I'll be content with. (I keep telling myself that anyway...lol. When I see the wonders that I know you guys are gonna pull off I'll probably get pulled into interior job...happily, of course).

By the way, I actually grabbed that Falcon from the X wing miniatures game for my desk and really love it. (Again, I'm a rookie and easily impressed...:p).

We will offer three level kits, from the basic and cheapest Level 1, to the complete Level 3.

And there will be the possibility to order individual parts too.

I've the old and original MPC from 1978, the Hasbro and now the De Agostini Falcon. I don't have enough time for more by now!!!

I've also got 2 Legacy BMF one of which is (was?) being converted into a near studio scale replica having acquired various donor kit parts for it as well as the De Agostini cockpit. I may keep this one but it's looking likely that I will sell the other one in favour of the 2 HSMF's I have at home waiting for me as well as the DA Falcon subscription when it becomes available in Australia.

BTW, Amish Trooper, do you have the escape pod docking ring spare from your butchered BMF? I'm looking for a second one to replace the one on the starboard side of my conversion.

Fine Molds cost way too much. Would like one. Have not looked at the new game ones but I like how that looks.

I've got the original Kenner Die Cast. Forgot to put it on the list.

I also have the new Micro Machines one. Several of the little one inch ones but also the one that's about 5 inches plus two of the large micro machines playsets that fold out into playsets.

Never been a lego person but my son now has a ton so we have fun with them. The problem is I work hard to help him build them and then they don't last long in play. He loves his lego city and Natural Disasters so his city gets hit by storm a lot.

Not sure what a Rare Earth Metal PE Falcon is. I got mixed results on Google?????
