New BMF coming

Sorry for the crappy pics. I think my camera has just about had it.

And, here are the two new items I have been working on. Again, taken WAY to long. If it could go wrong, it has. Twice. Ugh!!

MMI-7782 - Hasbro Millennium Falcon Clear Engine Detail Set ~$28USD - (38 pieces - 26 resin/12 styrene - flat-pack)
MMI-7783 - Hasbro Millennium Falcon Egg-Crate Engine Grille ~$20USD - (43 pieces - all styrene - flat-pack)

The Nozzles come with clear bits (only one shown). The Egg-Crate is a little loose, as it's the prototype. I have fixed that issue. It will still need a little push (and glue) to stay on place.

EDIT: Forgot to mention... The Clear Engine Set (nozzles) set also comes with a 2 piece overly (in styrene). I just didn't have it for the photos.

Sorry, I must be tired - what's the two piece overlay? Regardless, those looks really good (the nozzle version) - one question, if I'm seeing that right, the nozzles are opaque, but the clear piece plugs into the holes in the back of the nozzles - is that right? Just curious if you've mocked up lighting that and if so how much light actually makes it through?

I posted this also on my thread, but saying we are on the subject.......Perhaps a cheaper option for a Han figure

.....while I'm waiting for my 1/48 Chewie that is with the Bandai AT-ST,....I picked up a wee resin pilot figure in 1/48 for a fiver (£5)

Still a bit more to carve off,....his goggles carve up to make nice centre parting hairstyle

This paper scan of the DeAgostini cockpit insert (reduced by 10%) as a test

Hopefully the Chewie figure works out proportionally to the pilot

You're an artist!!!

Hey John... I've been thinking about this since I started watching you build this puppy and wondered, in order to bring the detail of the back wall and the cockpit dash out more, I was thinking of cutting little squares/rectangles out of flat clear packaging plastic and gluing them over the little buttons. This way it would bring the detail OUT more and the light would still be allowed to shine thru. What do you think? I think the major problem might be making sure they are all lined up properly so they don't look too hodge podge. I dunno. Your opinion?

The parts in black are from the tyrrell kit and the gray parts are from the Tamiya 20mm flakvierling 38 kit the white and orange parts are home made .:)
