New BMF coming

Big W no longer have them as they were a catalogue item only at the end of October and NOT a part o their regular stock holdings. Toys R Us should have them for $99 and also check Myer online as they had both the X-Wing and Falcon on sale for $49 ea (I've just done a check of these myself and found they are back to their normal price of $119ea).

Wish these were available in Australia

If you are going for the 32 inch look. they sould be two shermans ( both 1/76 one a mark 1 and the other the crab ) plus a 1/76 Matilda, the other insert a 1/76 panther.

If you are going for the 5 footer, then instead of theS

shermans, I think its a jagdpanther but it could be a jagdtiger, either way I think its 1/76. Even if it should be 1/72 on the 32 inch, 1/76 would be the way to go as the Hasbro is only 29 inches.

I bow to greater knowledge though. Personally I am going for the 32 inch.

Thanks very, very muchly for that, I've been anxiously watching which specific tanks, but the 1:72 vs 1:76 thing was making me nuts. Mrs Thekid took credit for the Paasche H single action and the compressor I bought for Christmas, so as soon as the resin kits start shipping, I'm IN BUSINESS! Woot!

Got mine Xmas day. Even as a bare ship it looks fantastic. It's like its meant for us purists to turn into something special. :)

Fz6, Sounds interesting... How much would a complete set cost?

I don't know exactly, but it will be much cheaper than the 3D printed parts, for sure. We must wait to know all the costs.
I will be posting here when everything will be ready.

Cheers

Well my Long Cabin Cone is officially lost in transit. :( I sent an email to Shapeways customer service, and they have declared it gone. They are reprinting it for me now so I will get it sometime next month. Hopefully, this one won't get lost by the USPS :(

Have you had any touhts of doing some XWing parts? Toys r us have dropped the price to £20

Now I'm concentrated on the Falcon parts, but why not making parts for the X-Wing too? I would love design the complete cockpit...

Is only question of time...

Does anyone have good ref plan shots of the top and bottom of the 32 inch Falcon?

PHArchivist posted 3 enormous albums of them twice in this thread.

As noted, Evergreen 'kiosks' are typically found in your full-featured local hobby shops. Though they apparently do not do direct sales, I expect they can help you find a source for mail order if you have no LHS.
They'll sell direct if you order more than $20 of product. I purchased a bunch of hemispheres from them to make Jedi food capsules.

Yeah I thought about getting one but..... Isn't it just too big, it's crazy.
The falcon is about the right size, it needs to be this big.
Still.... will probably get one though :)

I did think the back of used razor blades might make nice grills

The Pyro Tyderium thread had an idea that made me go "hmmmmmmmmmm....." - leads from mechanical pencils laid up side by side. Might work here too.[/QUOTE]

Interesting ! Can you link the thread I cannot find it ....

I think the mount is a REDO! :) Then again...the mount is the simplest part on the entire falcon..so if one was to make a new part...this is the part to do :)

Yeah I am hoping for that... I've slowed down to see what he makes :) I'd actually be fine if he remakes the entire falcon part by part now :)

Yes, I've read about this product. I haven't tested it yet.

There's a review here:
