Need your input!

I got a Chip Hazard doll from Small Soldier it's 12'' tall. I also have Stan Winstons book witch has great photos of the puppets. would you folks just shot for a repaint or would you remove and re-sculpt to correct the few flaws the toy maker made. Also this one talks and I was thinking of disabling that part also and fill in the back and battery compartment.

I'd like to hear what you folks have say on this one.

I say make it as accurate as possible. I've always wanted to do this with Archer, but I don't have the reference photos or a 12" figure. Definitely convert it. But, you could always paint it first and see if it's good enough, and if not, convert and then paint again.
