Need some scratch building advice!

I have a kit I am working on that has a vacu-formed canopy that is a pretty crappy pull. I am toying with the idea of rebuilding the frame of the canopy out of styrene or something similar. There are some complex curves to the frame so I am a little worried about that. Any suggestions on how to go about doing something like this?

I agree with JediMichael . We need pictures to provide better advice. Is the canopy a crappy pull or is the frame a crappy pull? Depending on the pictures, we may suggest that you modify the original part or start from scratch.

Last time I had a crappy canopy, I used plasticine to hold it straight and closed the rear opening. After that, I poured plaster of Paris into the canopy to have a perfect buck. Next was the vacu-forming...Bingo: brand new canopy;)
