Need large pic of the Logan's Run life hand. I would also like to see
any shots of the Sandman flame gun stand a member here made
using the life hand. I'm trying to make a display and I would like
to make a cut out of the life hand for the back drop.

Thanks,
Jason

I love that Logan's Run art!

I'm not sure I would do a good job transferring the hand
from that art to a flat outline because of the angle and the
3D of the drawing. I'm not a very good drawer. I am hoping to
find a nice front on pic, maybe even a flat outline drawing of it.
I really liked the one used for a flame gun stand that a
person here did. Maybe they have a outline I could use.

Here is the one you're talking about. I knew I kept the pic, just had to find it.:lol I'm pretty sure Rylo made these but I'm not 100% positive.

That is awesome!!! I wonder if he has any of these left? Maybe one without the
pegs for the flame gun? I was going to cut mine out of a sheet of styrene, but
those are perfect in metal.

Yes, those are mine.

I currently have a number of L.R. related pieces under construction, but won't be offering any additional stands. That run is "Sold Out" and probably won't be offered in the future.

I'll be retiring a number of such runs this year as I turn my attention to other things.

Thanks, though!

Rylo-- I would be very interested in knowing what LR items you will be retiring and the opportunity to obtain some of them before retirement.

Rylo, If you have retired the stand is there a chance I could get the template
to cut out my backdrop? If I promise to not share or produce anything but my backdrop out of it. I'll be cutting it out of a sheet of styrene, and need to print out something
to use as a cutting guide.

The picture with the gloved hand holding the Life Hand is almost a dead on shot of how it looks, Just redraw the profile with photoshop and stick it onto a piece of styrene and you have your hand.

Yep. What he said.

NOTE: Finding the 'center of balance' on that stand was a chore. A little more to the design than meets the eye. You have to figure a 2 pound DS gun sits on that thing without toppling forward, backward, etc.

Everything is being retired this year.

I'm in the middle of finishing up the Working Sandman guns, now. Few remain.

The followers, 'working and static' are sold out, too.

Most everything sold out in pre-order a while ago and the runs are under way. I do have a few spots left for the working DS guns but that's about it.

How big are you planning to cut it?

I was thinking 8 1/2 inches tall or so. Rylo's stand looks to be spot on for what I was thinking.

Ok, I can draw out the pic fairly well, but am having no luck doing it on the computer.
I was thinking of having a guy I know with a laser cutter cut this out for me. Could
someone draw this up in illustrator or corel for me?

Bro. You're kinda 'asking' for a lot aren't you? I mean, illustrator files and laser cutting?

Just sayin???

I have been trying to do it myself, but my computer drawing skills are not so hot. And for the laser cutting it is easier then cutting the styrene/acrylic by hand, and the lines will be cleaner.

And just incase you are worried I'm only making ONE for personal use. I'm not trying to step on toes, just asking for a little help with the computer drawing. It never hurts to ask.

I wish you still had one of your stands for sale. It would be perfect after I took off the gun holding pegs, and it would be metal to boot.

Just print the pic ( I cropped it for you) large enough to fill the whole page and cut it out with scissors...
If you set up your paper for "landscape" and "borderless" and fit to page...it will be 8.50 inches.

Tape it to your plastic. Lay a metal ruler along the edges and score with an exacto or utility knife...
You can just bend and snap the parts away.
If you need to, sand the edges a little...

Voila... :)

Thank everyone for your help, especially Rylo for his great design. It took me four sheets of styrene, but I finally got a useable hand. It was making some members uncomfortable so I decided to cut it myself instead of having my friend laser cut it. Here is what I have so far. Rylo what did you use for the red?
