Need info: Trek TOS Communicator body shape DS vs ST:TE

I have a Star Trek: The Experience communicator. I want to know how it compares to the shape of the Diamond Select version.

Here is the specifics:

I really want a display stand for my ST:TE communicator and i would like to acquire this one...

...However it was specifically built for the DS version.

My question? Will my ST:TE version fit in this stand?

FYI: I have already asked TCSloan (TS Hobbies) and he does not know.

The two are pretty much the same, both copied from the Master Replicas, so it should fit fine.
