Need ideas for quick cosplay

I have neck length dark brown hair.

I'm trying to come up with some simple, yet awesome cosplay for Dragon Con that I can do on the days I don't want to be burdened with complicated costumes, but still want to be awesome!

The first thing that comes to mind is Nightwing, specifically his outfit from Batman: The Animated Series because he had the longer hair cut.



I'm not sure how easy it would be to find such a suit, but in terms of parts to assemble/find, it is really just the suit and the mask. Yes, his hair is a bit more mullet like, but that is negligible.

Other options:
Gambit (his hair cut varies and the costume isn't too complicated)
Kid Flash/Impulse (again, just a suit and some goggles)
Really any character whose clothes you can find on your own (i.e. wears street clothes), rather than have to make them.

It might help for you to provide a few examples of the types of characters you're interested in. After all, many would argue that the love for the characters is what cosplay is all about. If you're just going to cosplay any old character since you're in it for the showmanship, then okay I guess. Whatever floats your boat.

But what skills do you have? What materials are you interested in working with? A "simple" costume could mean any number of things. Do you want to make anything or do you just want to go to Goodwill and find things?

I like 80's movie icons, I'm into Ghostbusters.. I already have a Ghostbusters cosplay, Green Power Ranger Cosplay. I like old school game characters, and some marvel and DC characters. I'm doing TASM 2 with my gf as Gwen Stacy as my "main" cosplay this year. I though about doing Bill and Ted's Excellent adventure, The Crow, some sort of Joker crossover.. (Ghostbusters Joker?), That's all I can come up with right now.. I just try to do things that are an extension of me. I know my hair is actually too long for spiderman, but screw it.. I like Spiderman and he appeals to me because I'm a nerd.
