Need help assemblying LAWS AT-AT driver helmet

After almost 6 months of delay, i am finally going to begin assemblying this kit.
I was looking at the parts earlier and have no clue how to secure the facemask to the helmet halves.
Can anyone who has a LAWS ATAT helmet post some pics of how these parts go together?
Many thanks! :cool

This can be REALLY tricky. I have the TIE helmet, which is assembled the same way. You first have to get the mohawk done to join the top helmet halves. That is really where you can mess things up because if you join them at the wrong angle at the back of the helmet the opening for your head on the underside is really skinny. I had to undo mine after I had glued it in place.
I will measure how large the bottom opening should be. That will have a large effect on how the faceplate fits from the front. Also, you should have some photos to go by so you know how far to inset the face so that its at the proper angle and the proper depth in relation to the helmet.

I hope I didn't confuse you. I'll see about getting some pics. If clutch or smeone else can chime in here, please do.

Hello Prometheus,

I posted some stuff over at the 501st Jolly Roger Squadron forum (under the nick 'dreadwind') which might be of interest to you:

http://www.jrsforums.com/index.php?topic=567.0

The forum is for TIE-Fighter Pilot costumers but the assembly for the AT-AT Driver helmet is more or less the same.

Do read both pages (in fact reading page 2 first might be better, you'll see what I mean). Hope the info helps :)

If you have further queries, I'll be glad to help.

Rgds,
Daniel
