I need someone to make me a prop from ghostbusters (proton gun/ neutrona wand/ gun part of the proton pack) out of sheet metal and metal tubing. Basically, a polygon with two tubes welded on and a few cuts/drill holes in the polygon. I can get you the exact measurements/ make up some blueprints of the body. I've even designed a one-piece template of the gun body, in case that's the best way to do the sheet metal part.
Past that, there are several machined pieces which would be add-ons to this body. If you can also machine those, I'd love to have the whole thing done by one person/shop. If you can't do those, please let me know if you're someone who can manage the sheet metal/tubing part. Similarly, if you want to only machine the detail pieces, I'd like to hear from you as well. A one stop shop would be ideal, but I'll get it done however I can.
This (my fifth and final pack) has been in the works for years. It's fiberglass, with working lights and sound. The metal gun's been trying to get worked out for a while; for the time being it's got a cobbled together gun made of plastic and PVC mostly...
I know, you're wondering "what's the rush, if you've waited so long to finish it already? Halloween's not for months." Well, within a couple weeks someone very important to the GB franchise may be introduced to my pack #5. I'm going to try and have the back of the motherboard signed, and I may get a picture of him with the pack. I don't want to say more for fear of jinxing it, but I've been assured that it shouldn't be a problem. I'd just like the pack to be the best pack it can be for this meeting... It seems like a great excuse to finally finish it. If everything goes well, and if I can get a picture, I'll let you know and post it here. For the time being, if you know metal better than I do, PLEASE send me a PM.
Muchas Gracias.
