Name that blaster!

So.. I finally got the DVDs of Otherworld. Just as campy as I remember, but it was kinda cooly nostalgic. :)

Anyhow.. in one of the last episodes, they apparently raided someone's prop cabinet for a pile of laser guns. I'm not really up on this stuff enough to easily recognize 'em, but isn't one of these pistols an old Battlestar Galactica piece? And any idea what the other sleek-looking one is from?

Here's some rifles -- I'm guessing from the clear rod at the front that they're from Buck Rogers -- can anyone ID them or say for sure?

The rifle is the Buck Rogers rifle, which I believe was also used as the Terrian rifle in BSG. The photo isn't that clear, but the middle pistol looks like it could be the Draconian pistol from the first season of BR. Also the pilot move, as Krel Jedi pointed out.

The sleek pistol in the first pic is from the Buck Rogers movie (I think)

since both shows were Glen Larsons one would assume all the props could have ended up in the same storage when the shows were canceled.

john :cool

Those rifles were all over the place in the BUCK series. PLANET OF THE AMAZON WOMEN and BUCKS DUEL TO THE DEATH spring to mind because I just watched those two this week. :D

The Rifle looks liek a Buck Rogers one to me...anyone know what happened to Jonna Lee who played Gina Sterling?

I have not seen here in anything since Otherworld...

I doubt Larson had a prop stash but since as you say he did produce both shows and they were produced at Universal, then the same production habits would be in place (going to the same prop people and/or Universal storage, etc.)

Is Otherworld out officially on DVD?
(If not, let's not have a discussion on where it's to be found, please.)

I remember a Mark Lenard appearance in that show. I recall thinking the show was a little cheap/hokey but liking it all the same. An 80s Fantastic Journey.

wow -- you guys are great. Thank you..

I dont suppose there's any better pictures of the rifles out there?

And I dunno what happened to Ms Lee -- she did just sorta fall off the map, didn't she? Come to think of it, I don't recall seeing any of them except Mr. Banks in anything since.

Saw some ghost story the other day on TV and thought "Ooh. Kroll." :)
And yeah, Mr. Leonard played the commandant of a military academy.

And um.. no, no licensed DVD out there, just bootlegs I think off of Canadian TV. (Perhaps the company is too embarrassed to release it? :) ) The copies I have are VHS quality.. but at least the story was there.
