My Thor Hammer

OK, I gave it a go and it came out OK. I didn't make it long enough, so I will be dong another one soon. It made of all wood, and leather strips from Hobby Lobby. The paint Job and lettering could be better because I was impatient. I guess we learn from our mistakes.

Def an awesome first start and I'm sure
It would benefit from the longer handle, but it looks great to me.

It looks really cool standing up like that in the first pic, I love the display.

If you get a chance, there's a typo in your title. Fixing that will make it easier for this to come up in the search engine.

Thanks for the remarks, and spotting the typo. The handle is 13 inches and the head is rather heavy. If I made the handle longer I don't think my kids could pick it up. But then again, that might be a good thing! Serious though, I appreciate the feedback!

No, I was referring to the width of the head. I should have been clearer about that. It should be just a little wider. It's no big deal, but I'm just trying to make it more accurate. Have you done one yet?

Awesome hammer, just curious why you decided to put "THOR" on the side? As far as I know only that inscription about being worthy is usually on it.

Thanks! I made this one for my son. it is more of a trial run just to see if I could do it. I won't do it like that again, I probably will make it without any words next time. I'm thinking about using chrome paint on the next one, but not sure yet.

In the comic mythology there is something about the handle being made too short because of some Loki meddling.

Good idea with no writing on the side. I think it looks kind of lame with writing.

I bought a six foot fence post from Home Depot. It was only five or six dollars. I had to rip and cut pieces to build up the width to the measurements I wanted. 10x5x5
