Is that from a dot*matrix printer?

Your suit/costume is AMAZING! Keep up the great work! :thumbsup

BTW - where can I get a pair of those socks?

Thats funny, my friend asked the same thing. No its not from a dot matrix printer, it was drawn on a vinyl plotter. There is a pen attachment you can put into the plotter and draw onto paper.

The socks I have are the tabio.com socks

GREAT WORK on your Joker Costume :thumbsup
Especially the vest and the shoes are wonderful. Keep up that wonderful craftmanship.

Awesome gun! It came out real good. I'd be afraid to carry it where I am I'd get shot. California is real bad about that. I'm going to just carry some nerf guns so noone thinks it's real and I get mistaken for a real criminal. Love that its a hardware store version. That makes it even cooler.

That gun looks great!

You only made that with the simple blue print you posted earlier? Thats some very good work indeed. I'm looking between yours and the blank shooter I have and they are extremely close. Only a prop nut would notice the miniscule differances and that is a major compliment! :thumbsup

I knew it was possible to do a hardware version. It's such a simply made gun. How'd you make the lip on the lip on the mag well? That's the only part that really miffed me. That and the checkered grip plates.

Thats so cool though. You'll be one of the only great looking Jokers carrying a replica of his "signature" weapon. Very nice indeed. :cool

I used the blueprint and about 10 pictures I found on the internet. That is it. All together it probably cost me less than $50, which Im happy with even though it is not exact. Which you would only notice if mine and a real one sat next to each other. The checked patterns on the grip and all the model numbers and logos were done on a laser engraver. And I was also stumped on the mag well at first, until one night when I was brushing my teeth, looked over and saw this:

Then I knew this could be done.

Thank you guys for all your positive comments!

SWEET gun build! Can you give more details? Materials used, techniques, etc.?

Also, how did you do your weathering? For my event on Saturday, I used some talc powder. Looked great when I left the house, but was almost gone by the time I got home.

The majority of the gun is wood and pvc pipe. The sights, trigger, trigger gaurd and fold out butt of the gun are all aluminum. The rubber on the butt of the gun is shrink tubing and the knob for the bolt of the gun is a pull chain end to a fan. The sides, handle and clip are all engraved materials. And of course the clip well is part of a listerine bottle.

Awesome costume man! I see you're in Phoenix as well. What are you up to for Halloween weekend? I'm still debating on where to take my Army of Two costumes. Any good parties going on?

Myself and a group of friends are going to Mill Ave. There should be a returns and a begins batman, a returns catwoman and myself as the Joker.

Awesome! Maybe we'll see you there, we will be this guys:
