My Seaquest Prop Collection [Long]

Awww Seaquest DSV.... that brings back memories.

One of my favorite shows when i was younger, depending on the episode i even liked it better than ST-TNG... :$
( takes cover from all those ST guys on this forum... :rolleyes )

Alright, now I'm going to sign off and go watch some Seaquest!!

After rereading some of these old posts, I wonder what ever happened to Darwin...

I've been re-watching the show as well and there was been a few times I've put on the Seaquest uniform for a few hours just to feel like Im in the show kinda.

The funny thing is I was watching one episode and when Captain Bridger told Darwin to do something from the main bridge, I could actually see a guy in the tank hold Darwin with a rod and dragging him down under water :lol It was funny to see that considering I thought he was real until I heard Darwin was actually fake.

Lastest Addiation to my seaquest prop collection.

UEO PolyCom Conference Phone

Saw this on the Propstore website recently and decided to buy it for my collection. made of hard plastic and looks to have been moulded to look like the a Polycom Soundstation 2 Basic model speaker phone. The prop is very plain but does have a UEO style logo sticker which has be stuck onto the center speaker grill. I'm guessing this was a very low budget prop built to be a non functioning background prop. Unfortunately I wouldn't have a clue what episode this prop would have been used in as there is nothing the COA didn't list an exact episode just that it was used in the show.

If you guys know more about this prop or can tell me more just by how this prop looks in the photos please let me know what you think. thanks

Still Im happy with this new prop and will put it away from my other sequest props until I can display them properly at home one day.

Thank you everyone for sharing. Seaquest was one of my favorite shows as a kid and the first Sci-fi series I was ever hooked on. I really wished it could have gotten a season or two more to flesh out it's identity. As has been mentioned here basically each season had a different goal. Ultimately if a balance could have been struck I think the show could have been around a while, but that's probably just my bias as a fan.

I wish that too! I think season 3 finally began to strike that balance better. Everybody on the show felt that way during production; that's why it was so disappointing to hear about the cancellation as we were making episode 13.

Yes I am disappointed with the fact the show got cancelled and though it was ahead of its time and had its own unique styling and story-line I still love to re-watch the show every now and then. I recently watched all 3 season and got so hooked I couldn't help myself and brought more props and costumes to increase my Seaquest collection further.

It looks like all of my editing on yourporps has broken all of my photo links for all of my Seaquest props and so I will re-post my collection and include all of the new Seaquest prop acquisitions I've acquired over the last 17 months or so.

CGO Garden Remote Control

SeaQuest-DSV-CGO-Garden-Remote-Control-1.jpg

First up is the CGO Garden Remote Control Prop, which was used my Dom Deluise in the second season episode Vapor's. Fully working electronic prop which has movable toggles, joysticks and levelers and an array of flashing LED globes when the unit is switched on. Requires 8 AA batteries to power the prop and was used as a futuristic laser hedge trimming tool by Tony Piccolo's father Nick Piccolo.

UEO Sonar Data Feedback Modulator Sensor

SeaQuest-DSV-UEO-Sonar-Data-Feedback-Modulator-Sensor-1.jpg

Next is a UEO Sonar Data Feedback Modulator Sensor prop, which was used on the 3rd season episode "Reunion". This is 1 of 3 identical data feedback props used in the show and is made of a heavy cast metal with a large moving round toggle on one side and various pressure markings with a tab that can move back and forth when the toggle is spun. The prop was handled by extras playing as fugitives that had escaped a prison colony and were holding hostage while trying to escape the Seaquest. The feedback units was removed from a MR-7 shuttle so that The fugitive leader Morgan Freeman could use the modulator's to keep an eye on the Seaquest's movements and allow them to plan an escape undetected.

Resignation Letter & Envelope (Unsigned)

SeaQuest-DSV-Resignation-Letter-Envelope-Unsigned-1.jpg

This is a UEO style resignation letter Captain Nathan Bridger gave to Commander Ford during the first season episode "Whale Song". The letter is address to a General Franklin Thomas stating Captain Bridger's resignation of command of the Seaquest so he could avoid killing a mass murdering criminal on a submarine. This backup copy is 1 of 3 backups I've seen floating around the internet and is an unsigned copy of the letter used in the actual show.

UEO Rank Patch (Ensign)

SeaQuest-DSV-UEO-Rank-Patch-Ensign-1.jpg

A standard UEO Ensign shoulder rank patch worn on all UEO Ensign uniforms. This patch I acquired off ebay and though it looks to be a command coloured patch (blue), But I've noticed the blue is very light like its almost white which in the UEO meant Medical personnel. Unsure if it means anything special or if the colour has faded overtime to a lighter blue colour. An ensign is a junior officer in the UEO military.

Seaquest Officer's Seasuit Uniform (LT. JR)

SeaQuest-DSV-Seaquest-Officer-s-Seasuit-Uniform-LT-JR-1.jpg

My first ever complete uniform this Seaquest Seasuit as they are called was worn by an extra and was the standard uniform for UEO personnel serving abroad the Seaquest DSV. This uniform came with a complete set of Lieutenant Junior rank patches and is a size 36. The costime has 3 sets of pockets and clips on the upper sleeves to allow the sleeves to be rolled up and locked into position. The costume is unfortunately missing a few addon's as well, including 4 shoulder straps which were used to attach to the costume a tactical vest and or a survival vest which are very rare. Also a black nylon tactical belt is missing but I have now sourced a replica belt to further complete the costume.

This costumes were used throughout the 2nd and 3rd seasons of the show by major and minor character's.

UEO PolyCom Conference Phone

SeaQuest-DSV-UEO-PolyCom-Conference-Phone-1.jpg

This is one of the many PolyCon conference phones used during all 3 seasons of the show. These conference phones were used to communicate Vidlinks between the Seaquest DSV and UEO headquarter's and of course all of the deep undersea colonies the Seaquest traveled to. Also these conference phones were used as simple 2 way communicator's between Seaquest personnel aboard the ship. The most common place these phones were located was in the Wardroom where the bridge officers discussed missions plans and idea's. Some of these phones had working push buttons and speakers and others like this one were just plain static none working background props.

In late 2013, I brought a large group of Seaquest props that had been put into a pack from screenused.com, The pack came with a few random props and also a production photo of Jonathan Brandis and his onscreen father it also come with a heap custom Seaquest and UEO letter heads and envelop and magnets.

UEO Purified Oxygen Inhaler

SeaQuest-DSV--UEO-Purified-Oxygen-Inhaler-1.jpg

This is one of the handful of custom made fake purified oxygen inhalers used in the 1st season. This one was apparently used by Lucas Wolenzcek played by Jonathan Brandis and was used in the episode Knight of Shadows. The inhalers were used as an emergency oxygen supply while a small shore party investigate an old shipwreck they found for the King George which sunk and disappeared 105 years ago. The prop is made of hard plastic and has a pair of rubber hand grips on the top and bottom of the main tank. There is also a rubber breathing nozzle on the top of the inhaler where you would place your mouth over to breath from.

Seaquest DSV Crew Casio G-Shock Watch

SeaQuest-DSV-Seaquest-DSV-Crew-Casio-G-Shock-Watch-1.jpg

One of the many G-shock digital watches worn my the actor's during the 1st season of the show. These watches were made by Casio and is a G-shock watch model DW5900C-9. The watch was none functional when I first got it but after replacing the battery, the watch was functional again and its special 3 eye display setup all works correctly.
