Sounds like quite a project! Good luck, and I can't wait to follow along!

Kudos to you for making a custom chassis, as well. That ain't an easy thing to do!

Lord, that's a gorgeous chassis! I'm assuming he custom machined all the parts, or are some found parts lurking around in there?

That's basically my plan when I rebuild my personal ESB Graflex. I originally made my own chassis, and used a Lux V and Petit Crouton, because those were the best things around at the time, when you couldn't get your hands on a Crystal Focus.

So, now I've got a CF V8 waiting, and I was having trouble deciding whether to do the single cell hack. From what I hear, it doesn't degrade the sound quality all that much. Correct me if I'm wrong.

As for the LED, I was thinking a tri-cree BGW, to try and get that nice cyan color. Not sure if this is best decision, or if anyone has gone that route before.

Dang, 30% reduction seems like quite a bit! I always thought my Petit Crouton could be louder, but I wasn't using one of the newer bass speakers, it was just your standard premium TCSS speaker.

Maybe I WILL go with two cells after all!

I found these 2 videos from PL really helpful to understand the technical process...

Mod your CF or PC to work with a single li-ion cell !
