I recall there was some mention in the sales thread regarding the size. However, I believe that the size is correct, as can be seen from these screen-grabs of Marty taking it out of his wallet, and of Doc. Brown examining it later on in the movie. The size compared to the thumb looks spot-on to me.

Nike rented/pulled the cafe 80s set from Universal or was this built by Nike? Or does a private party own the set? Any more information on this would be interesting.

It was built by the production crew of the event. When the event was done I asked if I could take the Cafe 80's sign. They said that the guy who make it was really proud of it and wanted to keep it.

Hm... Ok, ok... But I paid just the wallet 1€ + shipping 1,10€.

2,10€, the other parts I made myself...

Anyway, I have to live with the fact, that I have not a 100% SA wallet...

I don't mind, the wallet isn't my favorite part from the BTTF collection. It's just there for... decoration...

I'm such a sucker for these things, but show me something made by a fan, even if innacurate etc, and if it's shiny and cheap enough, I'll buy it :lol

So this little one caught my eye recently

Now between what you see and what you get, there is often something like this in these cases

(the runny silver colour was my doing. The rest is real and untouched :lol)

Throw it away I hear ? ...... not on your nelly :lol


I love salvaging


So I started to peel away at the (quite thick !) silver foil that was glued on. Of course (and expected anyway), PVC piping.

And here it started to get interesting. Looked like a spent bullet.

...... and indeed it was :lol


Ingenious !!! Gives it a nice weight, and the top part is used too :lol :thumbsup :thumbsup

All stripped down and cleaned.

Some sanding, filling, cleaning, painting, etc later ....


Et voila. One upgraded Start Trek Fan Art Hypospray with vials

Makes a neat background space filler I think. And it was fun

Location location location.

So anyways, I also felt it was time to free up some more space in the prop room.

Amongst a few others, I never liked this part, which is just an empty space full of boxes and covered with a stupid piece of cloth so that they will not be offensive to the eye.

Glad I didn't throw the shelves I had cut from the back wall away, as I used some of them to make a smart new and simple video rack, much more in line with the deco.

Which allowed me to free up a third shelf on the back wall
