Very accurate replica of the hand scanner used by Dr. M'Benga and others on TOS Trek. Many years ago I tracked down the original prop owned by an
employee at a prop house in hollywood. He allowed me to take pictures and micrometer measurements of it. The replica being offered is about as close
of a replica as you will find. I even threaded the top and bottom caps to match the original.
This version of the prop is made just like the original I examined with the spinning color wheel using a micro geared motor. A super bright white led is mounted
to the side wall on the inside that illuminates the the gels from the back side. Unit runs on 3 LR-44 batteries accessed by unscrewing the bottom cap. I have added a link to a video showing this bad boy in action.
