My Office/Prop Room/Museum......Pics!!!

Great, superb and awesome display, it's great to see you adding other items and watch the room come alive as it were! I know you mentioned having Darth Vader holding a light saber as his pose, how about having his hand reaching out as he constricts the throat of an disobeident officer by using the force. That image is so iconic in SW!!

i like that idea alot. i've never seen a vader mannequin in that iconic pose before. good call judge palmer. :thumbsup

I have a buddy doing a vader that is doing exactly that....the "lack of faith" pose with his ANH Vader......Mine is standing directly across from Old Ben in my office and just screams out for the lightsaber in his hand. From the beginning of this very old project, that has been my desire, so I'm sticking with it. You will no doubt see the pose you want in the future. :)

Yes indeed, love any and all suggestions because there are lots of Vader enthusiasts that may use your ideas for their displays.......keep em coming!

I don't have a landspeeder and a sandcrawler and a vader TIE from ANH. All three, however are in the works and one is paid for, so it will be arriving to me within a month. You are no doubt wondering which one that might be..............maybe I can give a hint "utinni!!!!!"

Ooooo...can't wait to see that!

If it's like the original, you could pop wheelies while riding it around your office!:lol

I love your room, but believe it or not, my biggest point of envy is still that C3 Vanderstelt print. That is the most beautiful piece of Star Wars art I have ever seen in my 32 years as a fan.

Great score. Did you get it on day one at C3? At the original price? Story goes that he started ramping up the price as the show wore on as he saw the demand was much higher than anticipated.

I don't think he ramped the price as it was set by LFL, It was the official work for CIII and the thing sold out just around 11am it went on sale if I recall??? it's been a while. I paid whatever the original price was. Jerry is a fantastic artist and a stand up guy. :)

Actually Dave Jerry did change the price as they started to sell out. We got ours just before noon and he had a special price that first morning and right after he gave us ours the price went up 50%. At noon ours were in the #80/250 range, and I heard the last of them actually sold out early Saturday morning, but by then the price had gone up two more times.
The print prices are totally controlled by the artist.

Jerry did something similar at C4 and the prints numbered below $20 had a higher price but they also came with an AP of the C3 piece. The price was staggered too, so the first one was higher than the end one in that group, I do not recall the actuall numbers but it was a serious premium.

Just good business on his part maximizing his return as it became a very popular piece. I agree it is the coolest print ever offered and often regret selling mine, but a $50 print selling for $300 just had to happen for me, that funded some new original art commissions.

:)

Wow, I forgot they went up, now I remember, he said LFL only stipulated he couldn't sell this print outside of CIII. It's starting to come back to me now. Good profit on your print, but mine just looks so darned perfect where it is. :)

Now thats a show off thread that was well worth the hour it took me to look all the way through it! Although Lucas finally choked the love of star wars out of my soul (with over saturation and crap prequals), your office is truly a breath of fresh air. Lookin good Doc, lookin really good!!! :thumbsup

Thanks Matt, your opinion means alot to me considering the pieces you display in your own collection. I'm always in awe of your critters. :)

Thank you Trilogy, It's coming together piece by piece.
