I would also like to say that Doug has been a pleasure to deal with. He communicates throughout the entire process and does practically anything to make you happy.

that's a fact, constant updates about your cod, Doug is a great guy
mine will arrive shortly, can't hardly wait

cheers, Clint

Well I got a test run in on the new cod today at a birthday party, and took some pics (actually my 14 year old son did and not to many of them are usable) :unsure Also he has only helped me get dressed a couple of times so the costume is off a bit, (i.e. robe & belt) but he had to eyeball it because there was no mirror. :(

I also adjusted my helmet padding a little but it was sitting too high so I'll take that out..

BTW, the saber in the pic is my new Hyperblade and the photo is unaltered. It was really that bright it a fully lit room, I LOVE IT.. :love

Any way here is one of the pics I salvaged. (the lady was the mother of the 5 year old birthday boy, he was quite scared of me at first) :cry

Enough rambling..

First let me say great looking cod piece. :) Looks like a winner.

Just a quick note here...

I've got one of DAVIDYR1's cods (one TMP now sells, his is just seamless) I'll take some comparison pics in a bit.. :thumbsup

TMP and I develped my suit and cod together a few years ago, but my cod was with the stitching around it. Right or wrong, that's how I personally thought it best to make them. I used to make suits and cod pieces until a year or so ago. It's not something I've been doing for quite some time now so the current TMP cod without the stitching is HIS cod. Sure, it may be a possible variation on what I used to do but I've been out of the Vader circle for at least a year now.
TMP is a good guy and knows what he's doing, but his work is his work.
I just wanted to chime in and clarify that. I've started getting Vader emails again and was pointed to this thread. Certianly no harm done, but I thought it best to clarify...and sorry for the brief hijack. :)

Back to the original thread, like I said above I think it's a great looking cod piece. :thumbsup

Kinda poor form to hack on AP's cod and insinuate that it's a lower grade leather....can you be sure of that? AP's cod looks accurate, well made and at a fraction of the cost of yours...leave it at that.

I agree, very poor form.

I have an AP cod and I think it is excellent. Great quality, soft leather. Accurate ANH wrinkling at top of cod, it looks the part to me.

This thread is about Doug's cod, not yours. Very poor form.

My apologies if you understood it that way, or if i have ofended anybody. :confused

I am Not saying his cod is not accurate, nor do i say it is poor or a bad deal. I really like the way he managed the shape and the craftmenship is good. :thumbsup :thumbsup

I only pointed out that I use another leather and that people compared the cod and price and i replied then tried to explain why the cost is higher.

Please understand me right. I do not intend to offend or highjack the topic. But i thought that it needed to be pointed out that the cod with visible stiching is not the same as the version i offer now. And then comparing it to my current is wrong. If you also look at the design i use more leather on the front and one the belt arround. Its a reason for the price difference, and i though that all the misunderstaning and price comparrison needed an explenation on my part. I did want to make another point than that.

:confused

Since you though i offended AP i will remove what i wrote. But you understood me totaly wrong.
I think its a bit unfair to say my cod is higher price without saying more than that. And also for people to compare a cod saying it is TMP's when the cod is not the curent is unfair since it does not base of the facts.
Then if i cant explain and inform people without some people jump to the conclution i am trying to put down another member then i will remove my post.

I just think people are a bit to jumpy from time to time and get to carried away by the small wave.

Again i am sorry if anybody got the impression i was trying to put anybody down.

I like the cod and the dedication put into it. Great acomplishment :thumbsup

TMP- I have one of your cods without the visable stitching and it's speaks for itself, the price reflects that.

AP- I additionally like the Cod you offer and seems to be one of the most popular as it's quality and reasonable.

It's nice for buyers to have a choice of high quality products :thumbsup

Well spoken :thumbsup :thumbsup

Wow, i just noticed this post with all the debate i guess if i had seen what TMP had written about me i might not have ordered his leather suit LOL just Kidding :p I love TMP's work that's why i ordered his suit... I have to say thanks to everyone who has said such kind words. I put a lot of work into these to make everyone happy as i know this is the piece that could make or break a good costume i also did a lot of work finding the correct leather that i use, because of the grain it is very hard to find and very expensive :( anyone who has one can vouch it's not your everyday Leather it has a kind of beat up, broken in look to it but, yet looks new... and i also noticed some of you talking about the curve in the Cod. Yes that is all put there intentionally to simulate it being worn, sat in, and broke in like the real thing........... Thanks again to all that have spoke so highly about my work :thumbsup :) and Jeff the suit Looks Great :thumbsup
