My new T-800 Bust

Hi there

Quite a long time since I posted my last thread. I got this bust some days ago and therefore wanted to post some pics of my new Terminator Bust. It is from Skinflex and feels really like real flesh. Well, I think it´s a little too bloody, but I really like the Arnold Schwarzenegger likeness, although my pictures are not very good at all and it does look much bessetr in real life (perhaps I gonna take some more in the next days with a much better illumination)
I was palning to add a T-shirt to its base and perhaps replace the eye as well as remove some of the blood.

OK, here we go

Enjoy

His hair looks a little too long, even on the eyebrows.
Other than that, I think it looks great.

Agreed...

Take him to your local hairdresser/barber... Other than that, hes cool. More blood. :D ;)

One thing to really set this piece off would be to add a little dark shadow
in between his lip's, just where they connect.

Yea, My girlfriend would have her 'say' about trimming those eye-brows...
She's alway's on me about my :love tarantulas :love ....

Still- I luv this piece.

I think it's the sculpt, not much can be done with that, but to me the Endo eye is a lot further from the nose than the real eye...

Well, actually it´s an opticak illusion because of the really poor lightning. The eye fits perfekt.

But I do have some questions concerning this sculpt. I have seen some resin casts, with and without hair. Most likely this bust as well as the resin casts are recasts of an older one (most likely a recast as well).
So, how did the first mould left Stan Winston´s Studio? Does anybody know anything about the hiistory of this bust? Any Inof would be great.

Thanks a lot

Is this from a guy in Germany...? I personally don't know much about this head, though I've seen it before. Not sure I like the overall look of the skinflex for the undamaged face, but it sure does add a degree of ick for the torn flesh areas. My guess is that this does not have a lineage to Winston molds, but I don't know for sure. The head I have DOES have a direct trace back to Winston molds, but I've since forgotten the details.

I've seen pics of the Winston sculpt, it's not the same as this. I also have one that looks like yours, but it's not a bust, just the front face.

Maybe Winston has more than one bust?

My sculpt is about the size of the Mi skull kit, that's also peculiar, it's about 10% too small. It doesn't have the ball bearings in the sculpt, so I think the Mi kit was used as a base. I might be going overboard though.

Mkay, the angle threw me off on that eye thing. May I ask how you incorporated the hair on the sculpt?

HI there

First of all, thanks a lot for the compliments, but I didnt do any work to finish this bust. It was all done by the guy I bought it from.

Concerning the question if there is a lineage to Winston molds, the answer is, yes, there is (most likely the likeness isn´t that good on my pics). The seller told me that it was a cast of the Winston sculpt (we all knooe that seller quite often do not tell the truth) and I compared the bust to the bust shown in the "Winston Effect" book and thedetails are perfekt. Everything is there, the smallest wrinkel, You can even see the pores, which are spot-on. Btw, the bust was offered to me years before the book was released. I heared somewhere that it was a recast of a Planet Hollywood statue that Stan Winston did.

Concernin the question if there were different versions of this bust, well, just look at the Stan Winston book and You can see the one next to Schwarzenegger and on the next page Stan Winston sitting in front of an other (larger base, more blood, very shiny endoskull parts).

I still do have to think about, how I can get his hair cut, as the skin is that sticky that he might look a little bit like Chewy after the work is done :$
