My new Superman the Movie costume display!

Hi everyone,

After many attempts at this display, I finally found a mannequin which is VERY close to Chris Reeve's build and proportions. It makes all the difference when you can display the costume on a correctly sized body.

I've got to figure out the best way of attaching the Chris Reeve head sculpt onto there, but for now - it's cool to just display the costume like this.

I just need to rub down the nipples a bit so they're not so prominent! :lol

Here's the pic:

WOW! That mannequin is just perfect Chris! Can't wait to see the sculpt on top of that thing. It's been a trip getting that costume together! :)-Andy

Superb.

I so much wish I had been around at the time or able to get this fabric as I love the Reeve cotume.

The best Superman costume replica I have ever seen:thumbsup

That's a great display, and I cannot wait to see it with the Reeve head. Pray tell, CKing, where didst thou get that mannequin?

Very nice Chris! It looks great. You were right about the mannequin, it does that costume justice. I'm looking forward to the final look with the head attached.:thumbsup

Have you seen the head?

Just asking... :)

yes i've seen. almost bought it from the sculptor. thing is, it may not go well with the mannequin. the mannequin have a slight head turn, the bust looks to the front. i love the way it is now. simple, yet effective.

That's true.

However, you can trim the bust to fit the mannequin, right? And if you're good enough you can make it seamless.

I agree that the setup now is pretty classy. It may lose some of that effect with the addition of the head or it may make it even more classy.

I'm definitely looking forward to what will be done with this.
