As the firearms laws are increasingly tightened where i am, you cant even import airsoft replicas, finding an adequate replica Mad Max sawn off is nigh impossible so decided to try to put something together from whatever second hand bits i could find and after much searching and scraping, came up with enough bits to put a replica of the original together.
The only real shotgun parts are the stock, the forehand grip, the triggers, safety and the trigger guard, everything else was scratch built.
I just started by joining the stock and grip with a metal rod and filled in the rest from there.
Parts for the rest were pvc tubing,, metal strip for weight at the front, 4mm ply, plyable "document protecter" plastic to make the "metal" surround and some wood filler. Finished it off with a very light sanding and a coat of mahogany stain. Very happy with the end result as apart from some obvious irregularities its not bad for something made from "a pppiece from here and a pppiece from there".
