DISCLAIMER: My props aren't perfect, 100% Screen-Accurate or the best money can buy... They are however, things I really enjoy having in my home and many of which, I've had a hand in putting together, modifying or building from scratch...........

First off, is my living room... I have five different IRON MAN armor suits displayed. I realize a couple of the helmets aren't on the correct suits... This is due to size variations in the helmets and how they looked on the armor...

Next up is a modified latex head that I reshaped and painted to make a "Pepper Potts" 1:1 figure...

Here are some Hollywood figures that I hand-painted and finished. These are soft latex heads that were cast from the original MovieLand Wax Museum heads...

This is a plaster "Life Mask" of Angelina Jolie. I hand-painted it and created my own ticket "box office" at the entrance of my home theater...
0JOLIETICKET.jpg

And here is the home theater that I built myself a few years ago...

Here is "Ralphie" from the movie "A Christmas Story" that I sculpted out of air-dry clay and finished off with the pink bunny costume...

Here is another life-mask that I hand painted and finished... Because they are made with the eyes "closed", I have to sand down the closed eyelids, and sculpt upper eyelids before painting the eyes on them.

And yet another plaster life-mask of Johnny Depp that I turned into a lifesize figure... I included the tattoos that he would have had at the time when this cast was made of his face...

I recently had a building built on my property to use as my art studio. A lot of my collectibles and props are being moved out there... Here are a few, including the Solo-in-Carbonite that I finished myself, along with my home-made STARGATE Portal. The blue water effect looks great in person, and is provided by an LED H20 Water-Effect Projector.

And here is an older photo of me working on a lifesize "John Wayne" figure... along with the finished product...

I made my own version of The Ark of the Covenent... Besides the praying angels, the rest was recycled and repurposed items that I had around the house and found at thrift and antique stores...

And here are some other random things I have around the house...

And the finished piece next to my 1:1 "Tony Stark" figure.

While I would love to have a job making props for a living, for now it's mainly a hobby... Fortunately, I do make a living with my art, but it's mainly drawings and paintings... Some of my paintings from the past two years...

I have other things that I still need to photo or upload... I'll add more when I can. Thanks for looking!!!

Wow, I love the collection you have there!

And what a great Audrey Hepburn. Got any larger pics?

Does the Stargate's water move within the iris? It looks incredible!

Thanks so much! I do have a larger/closer photo of "Audrey", I'll find it and add it to the thread.

And yes, the water does move within the iris, just like the movie version. I sometimes just relax by staring at it for a bit, LOL! I will be making a kind of "walk-through" video of my home and you'll be able to see the Stargate portal in action. :)

Thanks Moviefreak!! I'm glad you noticed that. I really wanted to have that Old World/Movie Palace look of yesteryear. :)

Thanks! Yeah, the Stargate Portal is definitely one of my favorites, as well. :)

Re: My LIFESIZE Prop Collection Rooms IRON MAN, STARGATE Portal, Hollywood Stars and

will you adopt me?

Please?

Outstanding collection. I like the ark especially. Is that a picture frame around the top? It looks pretty close for a 'found' substitute.

Re: My LIFESIZE Prop Collection Rooms IRON MAN, STARGATE Portal, Hollywood Stars and

I had exactly the same response as movie freak. The olde time cinema room is just a knockout. Really really classy. It looks super comfy as well.

The life-sizes are a real treat too. Love the range of characters.
I think the clothing is a real winner too. How long on average does it take to do one? Love to see a writeup on how u make one.

It's all so beautiful lol so when can I come round for a visit? Lol

Wow

Haha! Okay, I could use a kid around the house to help me build more props! LOL!

Yes, I used a heavy picture frame on the ark... That was the most difficult piece to hunt down as I wanted to at least get the basic "look" of the "Raiders" version.
Thanks!

Anytime, Taz! Thanks for the kind words, I really enjoy the theater... It's great to escape from the cold winter days and blazing hot summers in there.

I will definitely do a "work-in-progress" thread on my next lifesize figure. :)

Here are a few close-ups of my hand-painted lifesized figures....

1. Theater- Architectural elements include wood trim, resin cast ornate trim, mouldings and medallions that were 24k gold painted. Red velvet and red fabric line the walls and I used heavy embroidered damask material for the panel inserts as well as covering the seats. The seats were taken out of a closed movie theater and were reupholstered in red before I installed them. I built a 12" riser for the back row which gives ample clearance to see the screen above the middle row viewers. I used LED micro lights to illuminate the aisles as well as around the room. I painted the ceiling a deep blue and have a Star Projector that creates moving stars and a blue nebula on the ceiling.
Electronics used: Optoma HD Front Projector, ATLANTIC TECHNOLOGY System 450 THX speakers, Pioneer THX Receiver and a CAVX Anamorphic Lens. I made the screen myself, using black-out fabric. It's 12 feet diagonal and is a 2.37:1 aspect ratio.

2. GOOD GUY Dolls- I made them myself, using the original "CORKY" dolls from the 1980's. They are a near perfect height and look a lot like the non-angry Chucky. I had to cut and replace the hair, repaint the face and eyes and of course, change the clothes. I used the clothes off of the 26" Chucky dolls that the mall sells around Halloween. They fit perfectly! If you can find a working CORKY doll, you can put tapes in his back and his eyes and mouth will move/talk with the audio. I traded the "GOOD GUY" boxes from another Chucky collector a long time ago for one of my pencil drawings. :)

3. DINO FOSSIL - I used to collect dinosaur skull casts, but they took up a LOT of room... I used to have several Tyrannosaurus rex skulls/bones, including two full skull casts. One I ended up selling to Mythbusters, Adam Savage and the other found a home with a friend in Nashville... The half-skull is the only one I kept. It is a cast of specimen MOR-555, found by Kathy Wankel in 1990. It was the first T. rex specimen to be found with both arms intact.
Here is a photo of my dinosaur room a couple years ago....
