You are ahead of your time. After The Mandalorian is released there will be a renewed interest in this obscure character. Great work.

Those look huge. Not a criticism but a question.

Are you convinced the filming prop was that large?

Hopefully more members will do IG88 builds. My bucket list project.

I think there's reference photos showing ig88 beside the other bounty hunters, and the film crew placed him on a lower part of the stage to the others so that he appeared in the shot as similar ish height to the other hunters , but yes, he was huge !

I really want to build one of these. But before I do I would like to produce a Solidworks model complete with every single part and detailed drawings, with Bill of Materials and instructions, on how to do it. My plan is to design this thing during the winter months, 2019, and start building in the spring, 2020. I only have these forums to go by. I would really like to generate a complete set of instructions and put it out there for anyone that wants to try it. I already modeled the head, I don't have a head to go by only these threads, so it's definitely not exactly correct but my plan is to build the head from scratch on my lathe. Any help with part details would be greatly appreciated.

That’s how I wanted to do it too.

Now we have another - IG11.

I highly recommend you get the Sideshow IG88 as your base. They did a great job.

Please don’t base his feet off the Kenner toys. With all due respect for the life size builds the Kenner feet look ridiculous and ruin the look. If you use the Kenner feet no matter how good your build is it will look like you built the Kenner 12” TOY and not IG88.

The original has no feet as they weren’t in frame. My opinion use the Sideshow feet or design something better on your own.

Keep us posted.
