My latest BTTF DeLorean Build

:lolI saw that story on TMZ just after posting here this morning and thought "I wonder if that is Seth's?". Awesome. Congrats on building such a fine vehicle and on your sale(y)thumbsup

Thanks Charles. It was the best solution to deal with the limitations of using a resin cast for the part. That original heatsink is insanely rare - as you well know. I believe only three are on fan built cars to date.

A couple of options would be to have them cast in metal and then have the interior machined out. Or just have the whole thing machined in metal.

If I wanted to bling it up, I'd hollow out that bottom a bit more and put diffusion plex and leds behind the perforated mesh.

ah! I see the shortcut you took so you didn't have to make the circuit board in the resin cast HP heatsink. tricky tricky ;)

I'd never say it's "perfect", but I'm very pleased with how they look/function. Each car is a learning experience. I always try figure out a neater way to do something or incorporate a practical real-world function.

The final challenge comes in balancing that with what was made by Kevin Pike and his crew back in 84 for the screen used cars.

Gary, this is fantastic work! Congrats!!!!!

Hey, the story is about to be aired on my local TMX (Chicago!)

Bravo brother!

Wow! I finally found something that makes me wish I'd kept my DeLorean!
She was a pig, never got over 70 MPH in her, but she was still the only car that made the "chicks" in their Corvette's "check ME out" for a change!
Great looking build!!

Fantastic car. I've seen Evan's ex-car in person and your work is always top notch, but those are the most impressive flux coils around the car I've ever seen. Do you have a link to the source you bought the parts from? I'd like to add some more substantial glow effects to one of my ex-Disney "Herbie" cars which had some rather weak neon tubes installed by the studio.

Yeah, I'd love to see some progress pics, or even more beauty shots! One can never have enough when it comes to the DeLorean.

Will that car be the "ultimate" last Delorean ever?!?)

I wonder why no-one ever make the underfloor-lights you can see in part 2?!?

After all this is a BTTF1 Delorean, but it would be cool...

anyway, its always amazing how fantastic some people here make dreams come true...
