Going to start off with a Ruger Vaquero birds head sherrifs 510 which is the same as the impossible to find Colt Sherrifs

I got it in stainless steel 45 colt with a 3.5 inch barrel. Ill be picking up pearl grips this week.

Snagged this off of gunbroker

Here is a photo of the screen used prop. I have no idea why there is a muzzle break on it.

looks like a firefly gun with that .... thing on the end...
its not a compensator... what ... IS that thing? i dont remember seeing it in the movie at all

You'll also have to swap out the Ruger "Button" style ejector rod for the crescent moon Colt style one...

Yep, there are many subtle differences between the Ruger and the Colt, the trigger, the length of the barrel, etc... but realistically, the Ruger is the only substitute for the Colt, so you gotta do what you gotta do. :)

Ya the Ruger is as close as I can get, however the Uberti Deputy is identical to the colt sheriff since it was designed to copy it. Only problem is the never made it in Stainless steel, and I am not going to nickle plate a gun from Uberti.

After I get the pearl grips on im calling the prop done as far as im concerned.

This is one of those close enough deals since we are dealing with real guns that I still intend to go and shoot.

I'd say it was a barrel weight to help control muzzle flip, except that looks to be made of aluminum. So unless, in the context of the movie, it was suppose to be steel and not aluminum...Well I don't know what it is suppose to be. :lol

David.

I can tell you it was sold as 'custom barrel extension' if that's any help :confused

It's on the gun in the final scenes where the Bride confronts Bill at his house.
