My Jason Bourne Tag Heuer Watch

I wanted to share my new acquisition. I enjoy watches and have gotten a few over the years that I like. So after watching the Bourne series again I decided my next purchase was going to be the Tag Heuer Link CT1111.BA0550 aka The Bourne Watch. I think we are aware that they came in two different styles and he wore both styles depending on the movie (they just had a upgraded version for Supremacy and Ultimatum). I wanted to earlier model from the Identity and found it from a private seller a few days ago. I was able to get it delivered today and wanted to show it off of course. BUT there is more. Its the story that I thought was interesting. I bought the watch from a seller than bought it from the original owner. It just so happens to be that original owner is from Germany and purchased it there back in 2001. All of the original receipts are included and show it was purchased from Juwelier Lorenz in Berlin. Well.. If you are a fan of the movies, you know that Bourne's first job was in Berlin at the Brecker Hotel when he assassinated the Neski family to complete his training. So I had to look up the two locations of the Jewelry store and the Fictitious "Brecker Hotel" and they are only about 5km apart. (This may be getting way to deep I know, but isn't that what we all love? )

Anyways, the watch has no real connection to the movie other than being the same model. But I'd like to think that Bourne may have purchased his Tag Heuer from the same store, if not "rewarded" himself with it after completing his training. I know in the books he stole his first watch, but in the first one it was in the Bank Vault when he got to Kurich. Anyways.... Enough of that. Here is is, I love it.

I'm with you, man. That frankly is VERY COOL that the watch you have was sold at a place that the Bourne character was near. You can't replicate that.

(I have a few "movie-connected" watches, namely Rolex 6538 and 6542 homages. It is way fun. Now I just need to find a 1962-1963 era Walther PP(k) replica of some kind, with a shoulder holster.... )

That`s a really great watch with a pedigree for sure, nice job. You should pick yourself up one of the replica passports just to rest it on at night.:cool
