My Jack Sparrow

We took our boys on the Disney Fantasy Cruise ship this year as part of our vacation (time in DW as well) and after the last trip a year and half ago (this was our 4th DCL trip) I told my wife I was going to go all out for the Pirate Night Celebration this time and put together a Jack Sparrow outfit.

Now I know it's not 100% accurate to any one specific movie as I was picking up pieces here and there in the JY when they would pop up. The main goals were staying on budget and having a good time Success on both accounts!

I think I will slowly upgrade/add to this costume and properly weather items like the boots (came to me that way) as I come across pieces but overall seeing as how I had a lot of people on the ship come up to me and say they liked my costume more than the performer, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Even the performer commented on how much he liked it.

Thanks again to all the members here who helped me out with bits and pieces, I can't wait to get suited up again on our next trip

Aye from one fellow Sparrow to another well done mate! Did Disney make a stink about your costume? When I wore mine last year on board the Disney Dream we were surprised to see Disney Castmembers lined up to take photos with me! Good times! Savvy?

Thanks guys, it was a blast! I did practice the accent a bit and I naturally have a fondness for rum, lol.

No hassle from any castmembers but I did take pics with some. However their Jack did tell me to be careful and not take pics with other people on the cruise otherwise I might run into trouble.

are you using the costume elsewhere or is it just for the cruise?

we've done the Disney cruise a few times and it's always good.
im working on my new costume for this year,
it's an upgraded version of last years costume which went down a storm.
pity we weren't on the same trip lol.

Hey claymore, I loved following your last build and am keeping a close eye on your newest one as well. I said the same to my wife when I first read your thread, how awesome would it have been to get some pics together

I'm sure I'll get more mileage out of it. It was originally assembled for just the cruise but I know I won't be able to resist wearing it more often

lol, I'm sure you will.
theres a great Jack Sparrow looka like over here, who's asked me attend a couple of Comicon things over here later this year, but I'll need to see if I can get the costume finished first...... Might be fun.
