My Iron Man Mark III Build.‏

Followed your build closely and it's a beauty all around! Good thinking using the foam to minimize/eliminate the "clanging sound". On the same idea, I used strips of black velvet to achieve the same thing (thinner also). Keep up the good work, you're almost there.

Aside from my own build this one is top of my list I really looked forward to seeing completed. Steve the suit looks fantastic buddy, Mark has done an outstanding job on the paint. It is so close now my friend (y)thumbsup

You've been a huge inspiration these past few years Robosteve! Thank you for everything!

Thank you Transhuman, glad I can be of help! :)

Thanks Matt, means a lot! yeah these builds do go on don't they? almost there though mate, not long now I reckon.

Outstanding work. By far, my favorite Iron Man suit is the MK3. It's like the Keaton batman suit, it has a raw quality to it. Looking forward to sponging some ideas to try to improve mine! Thanks for sharing.

Robosteve, once again, an awesome suit! Wondering how you painted the laundry basket you used for the articulated backs of knees and inner elbows? I've tried various plastics for these filler spots and the paint always scrapes off really easily.

Amazing, it puts my MKI TMP suit to shame, Ive just blown the dust off for a charity event, but I cant believe how much work I need to do ... thinking of dropping it on fleebay and getting something a bit different .. great work by John and yourself

Ok , so much time passing by, Work and real life as always take over and this project slipped by the way side, it's all painted and has been for a long while so it's just a case of putting all the pieces together, here's a few shots, I wanted to post up as it'll help spur me on to show more and get more of the joints sorted. I'll show how I've constructed those joint while I post up pictures as I go along.

A slight re cap on the parts.

Chest and shoulder 3d milled , Helmet, 3d printed , Lower torso and thighs and arms sculpted by Finhead. Feet my Masked Rider but chopped up and and then refitted by me to slim them down to suit this build.

Enjoy the pictures and stay tuned for more soon!

some rear knee inserts I made in layers of hard plastic worked out great but the moulds were shot after one pull so sadly I can't make extra copies.

I've since found out the paint shade is no longer available, it's been discontinued , I got these paints over 2 years ago. All prayed through a spray gun! no rattle cans used here.
