A while back I picked up a Hammond Amber Cane topper from TheRealMe and have finally gotten around to making myself a cane for it (well almost, still need to paint).
I don't claim this to be movie accurate as I was just trying to get something made up relatively quickly that would still look good. Looking at a couple images it appeared to me that the 12 main bone sections were pretty much all the same and there was just a smaller bone for the bottom and then the one at the top to hold the amber, so I figured if I just made these 3 main parts then I could mold and cast multiples of the larger ones to save myself some time.
So I threw some silicone on these and cast up some parts in resin I had available (onyx). The top portion does have a concave surface to it to accommodate the egg shaped amber, but I also needed to drill a hole in it for the "peg" on the amber to sit into. I used some epoxy to hold the parts together and here we are (picture is missing the very bottom piece and I still need to get a cane tip for it as well):
I know it should probably taper a bit as it gets closer to the bottom, but again, I wasn't going for 100% accuracy. Now I just need to get it painted up. I'll post some more pics once I get that part completed.

I'm still debating on whether or not to make a mold of it cast it as one solid piece or just leave it as is. I suppose if others are interested in one it would make casting it worthwhile. Then I can offer either a full one or the smaller pieces (to save on shipping costs).
